Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.

Located on our little hobby farm in HariHari about 4.5 kms off state highway 6. Our cottage is divided into two beautiful fully equipped studio units. The units are suitable for couples or a single person. The area is very quiet has great views of the surrounding farm land, trees, mountains and our garden. If you want to cook in the little kitchen you will have to bring food with you the nearest supermarket is either in Franz Josef Glacier or Hokitika.

Thanks Alison for allowing us to say in your home . Clean comfortable beds , hot and powerful shower, washing facilities if we needed to and great kitchen with everything we needed . Super coast fire warming us up after a day fishing and biking. Would happily stay again.

Luxury Lake House on Edge of Lake & Glacier Views

We had an incredible stay at the Lake House! Jody and Barney have done an amazing job including extra special touches that make this stay remarkable in a truly beautiful part of the world. Jody was great for local suggestions and helped organise a birthday cake for my husband prior to our arrival. Unfortunately the guests before us were inconsiderate of the off-grid setup and did not adhere to the house rules and we arrived with no power or running water. Jody went out of her way to correct this, supplying additional amenities, a meal voucher and crediting us some of the night fee while a generator helped to restore power overnight. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space! We hope to be back one day.

I only had a quick stop passing through the area but the space was quite clean and cozy and walkable to town (though a little past the lit/sidewalk part of town).
