Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Volcano

Edmee and Brandy have created a warm and inviting home away from home in their cottage. It is tastefully decorated, the bed is comfortable, and is fully equipped, especially the kitchen. Nice touches are the washer/dryer for cleanup after hiking Volcano National Park, which is 2 miles away, and the gas firepit on the deck, which made sitting out there cozy and comfortable. Mary and I stayed 5 nights, thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and would give the cottage 10 stars if we could.

Love the location to go be down by the water all day. Really relaxing jungle treehouse.

Beautiful house with tasteful furnishing. A bit cramped if the tv is pulled out because the tv is set up on a rollable cabinet but still very beautiful and comfortable place to use as base for exploring the volcano national park. Host is friendly and communicative.

Peaceful and relaxing in a serene secluded jungle setting. Between the hot tub and fireplace, this house left me feeling rejuvenated after my stay. The house is clean and new, yet still feels cozy. You'll always remember the great places you've stayed on your travels and for me this is one of them.

Great location and available amenities for our party of 6. We would definitely stay at Julie’s place again whenever we are near Hilo.

My great luck in staying at sweet spots has continued, although I’m familiar with the area and knew what I was looking for. Hooray for Hideaway RainForest’s accuracy about their lovely, comfortable, well-appointed home. Such a fab spot I’ll even be recommending it to my ex-husband and his wife for their upcoming trip. Denise and Brian were extremely accommodating and friendly. We appreciate all the recommendations. And love all the detailed signs around the home, answering any and all possible questions. We really appreciated how close this home is to the entrance to the National Park. The house was very clean and and the beds and linens were comfortable. Our children appreciated the books and toys. The house had everything we needed for a lovely stay.

Second time staying at this property and it’s a lovely experience and lovely area off the beaten path. Very quiet and clean. I’m appreciative of the hospitality that both Sharon and Stephen showed me. Will be going back for a 3rd time in the future.

Insane deal that I didn't believe it was true at the beginning. Massive house with huge garden right at the ocean, two mega king sized bed along with a queen and a twin should fit at least six for its size. I so regret staying for only one night cause we lived like kings. Felt like linving in a dream.

We recently stayed at a delightful Airbnb in Pahoa, Hawaii, and it was an absolute dream! The house was exactly as described – truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality by our hosts. They even gave us a lovely tour of their lush gardens, which was a delightful surprise.The home itself was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We had an abundance of towels, linens, and cooking supplies, making our stay comfortable and convenient. Staying here truly enhanced our Hawaiian vacation, and we couldn't be more grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this charming place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Pahoa!

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Ryan’s place is beautiful!! Near downtown Hilo and not too far from Volcano National Park either. The space is clean, comfy, and homey - everything you could need. Would strongly recommend to other travelers to the Big Island.

When you are visiting Hilo, I would recommend staying with Megan. From great conversations to recommending local events it was an amazing experience. This listing is for anyone who is trying to have a true Hawaii experience. The partially open aired space was a dream! The rain hitting the metal ceiling was the best way to wake up. 1,000,000/10 will be staying here anytime I visit. Mahalo Megan!

The host is great! Almost like staying with an old friend! Beautiful place! the bed was great! the outdoor shower was even better!

Holly's place was exactly as described. The photos do not do it justice. Sitting on the patio at night in the hot tub or next to the beautiful firepit was extremely relaxing looking out to the tropical forest listening to the coquis exceeded all expectations. I also picked up several fantastic ideas for our upcoming home in the same area. Their home was beautiful and extremely well built and planned.

Lovely cabin in a magical, lush Hawaii farm. I loved the sound of the birds and insects and the relative privacy I felt in my cabin tucked in the back of the farm surrounded by trees. The shared bathroom was well kept and the water was always warm.

It was a great little cabin in the jungle, with lush greenery all around. The cabin was clean and spacious. It’s perfect for someone looking to relax and listen to the sounds of Hawaii. We loved our stay here. The host is very accommodating and helpful.

A beautiful, peaceful, and serene spot just minutes away from the hot springs. The accommodations were as described and the host was excellent. If you are looking for a retreat from the noise of the world, this is your spot. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Pahoa...

The best sleep we’ve had away from home. The sounds of the natural habitat at night were incredible. The beach is all lava rock; something new for us and fun to explore. A local farmers market was just down the street. There are a lot of little geckos, frogs, chickens and roosters. This stay was rural and relaxing.

Quiet peaceful place to stay. We wish we could have stayed longer than one night. We will surely be back to the crows nest. Unfortunately the Volcano had one of the biggest eruptions right after wr left the park.

We are so happy we discovered this hidden gem and will definitely be returning! It was the most incredible place we have stayed on the big islands: a perfect mixture between luxurious and natural! The pool front bungalows are pristine, comfortable and clean and are on an amazing pool deck which is like a huge tree house built in and around a vast forest of endemic Ohia trees! The pool deck features a pool, hot tub, rain showers, clean bathrooms, shared kitchen and a lounge area with many tranquil areas to relax and enjoy the forest. Drinking my morning tea in the hot tub, I saw several native birds flying among the Ohia trees! I highly recommend this place for people of all ages! My children loved it and enjoyed the freedom of not having to wear swim suits! Hosts were responsive and flexible and very accommodating!

The house was exactly what I was looking for and more — private, safe, surrounded by nature, within 15 minutes of a beautiful beach and pet-friendly. I was also happily surprised by the number of stores 10 minutes away in Pahoa’s town center including a Whole Foods like store called Malama Market, a CVS affiliate called Longs Pharmacy, great Thai food at Ning’s Thai and delicious breakfast at the Tin Shack Bakery. The weather was also better than I expected — I’d (correctly) anticipated daily tropical rain showers, but the late mornings through afternoons were almost always sunny during my June stay. And I was also pleasantly surprised that Instacart delivery people were able to successfully deliver goods from Hilo, 30-40 mins away. The house itself is beautifully decorated. I personally loved the crystals around the bed and flickering decorative lights. Those relaxing touches along with the sounds of nature — birds, frogs, insects and intermittent tropical rain — helped set the stage for some very restful sleep. I didn’t do any cooking beyond warming things up during my time there, but the refrigerator, freezer, oven and stove worked perfectly, and the shower water was nice and warm. Also, the car I rented from Kristen was perfect for my needs. You definitely need a car when staying here and one that can handle unpaved terrain. I loved my stay, and as long as you’re ok with lizards, insects, tropical rain, spotty cellular service supplemented by GREAT wifi, friendly kittens and a dog roaming the property, you’ll likely love it too.
