Sunshine Cottage is a little cottage in the back garden of Finca Katrina. It is set on a hill with views of Palo Alto and Jaramillo with a coffee plantation in the foreground. There is a full (double) bed, room to hang your clothes and to store your belongings. You have a small fridge, toaster oven, sink, coffee maker, and cupboard space for food, but no stove top. Has a porch, one bathroom, electric hot water tank, yard and parking for one car. Includes WiFi and shared washer/dryer. No smoking in the Casita, small pets will be considered upon inquiry. 25 minute walk to town, taxis are $3. If you come from/go to main road at stairs it should be $1. Heaps of info in listing to be self sufficient!

We found Juan’s place to be exactly as advertised and it was very comfortable for my husband and me. We wanted to stay downtown to walk to most places and we also had a car. It was easy for us to find parking out front and we enjoyed the local restaurants and sites. The restaurant, Tacohalics - located in the same complex as Juan’s apartment, had amazing vegan tacos and I’m not even a vegan. We also had a couple of meals at home and we loved the air fryer! We were able to walk to the Tuesday Farmers Market and get some fresh food for our stay. Our bed was comfortable, fans kept us comfortable and the home was clean and fairly appointed. Juan was super accessible and responsive. We travel a lot and look for different settings. When we stay in downtown areas we expect some noises and there are some that come in from Church bells, people, some vehicles, etc. but we always expect that. I always sleep with earplugs when in downtown settings. Overall, we recommend Juan’s city condo.

I went with a group of friends for coffee-related activities. The cabin was 15 minutes from the town center in a lovely location. Everything was neat, nice and clean. Spacious, complete, nothing missing. Comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, complete kitchen, space to park the car and my favorite thing: a beautiful living room illuminated by natural light with a lovely natural view. Both hosts, Vivianne and Mrs. Chichi responded in a timely manner. I arrived late at night and it wasn’t a problem because I got the instructions on how to get inside without the host receiving you. I recommend it 999999%

Süße Unterkunft mit fantastischem Blick auf den Vulkan. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Um in die Stadt zu kommen benötigt man ein Taxi (3-4$) was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen und würden wieder kommen.

Me encantó la cabaña donde nos hospedamos en Volcán. La ubicación es excelente y el lugar es sumamente acogedor, con ese estilo rústico de madera que justamente estábamos buscando. Todo está muy bien pensado y equipado: cuenta con estufa, nevera, lavadora, cafetera, condimentos para cocinar e incluso frazadas que nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos en todo momento. Tiene un escritorio ideal para trabajar, y uno de nuestros momentos favoritos fue desayunar afuera, en las sillas del porche, disfrutando del aire fresco y la tranquilidad del entorno. La cabaña también tiene un camarote y un altillo que le fascinó a mi hijo —¡una verdadera aventura para él! Se nota que cuidaron cada detalle en su diseño y decoración. Además, Coralia, nuestra anfitriona, fue muy amable y atenta. Nos recomendó lugares para visitar, y nos compartió enlaces y ubicaciones que hicieron nuestra experiencia mucho más fácil y completa. Sin duda, es un lugar al que queremos volver.
