Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Vinton County

The host was the most attentive we have ever had, we appreciate the thoughtful gestures that made us feel welcome. We had to leave early for a family emergency and they were very supportive. We will definitely come back!

Location was perfect. Perched on a hill with a big comfy deck off the back of the house. Deck also features a huge hot tub which was clean and we all enjoyed. Steps down led to a fire pit. S’mores were so good! Wonderful views from every window. Entire place was spotless. Beds were so comfy. Upstairs BR with bunks for younger ones was perfect. Also a second lounge with couch/TV. Downstairs was massive. 4 bedrooms arranged Jack and Jill style. Closet with w/d and extra fridge-was so nice to have. Kitchen was well stocked. Had everything needed to prepare nice meals. If cooking for a very large group may need to bring some larger serving dishes. I also brought my crock pot. Large island with 8 bar stools. Open concept to the dining and main living spaces. Super long dining table that could fit an army! Living area had 4 full size couches and 2 loveseats. Plenty of comfy seating for everyone to sit, watch a movie and enjoy some popcorn. We hiked trails that were the dreamy!

We had family coming in from out of town and no room at our place, so we put them up in Velvet's beautiful manor. Check in was so easy, and everything was clean and beautiful! The location is incredibly convenient, just off the main road and just a few minutes from the Dollar General and also from Lake Alma. We will definitely be back!

What a great place to stay! Well appointed, private, quiet. House was pristine on arrival. This place feels like it is worth the money! Dean is very responsive, helpful, and provided outstanding communication throughout. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here with multiple families and kids and it was perfect!! The kids loved being on their own floor in the basement and every couple had their own bedroom! The common area was spacious and plenty of dining space!! We had an amazing time having game tournaments in the game area as well!

We had a wonderful time. I will definitely recommend it to others. It was very beautiful and very relaxing for us.

We loved our stay at the Arthur! The property was beautiful and very peaceful and the details of the house were immaculate and very thought out. We enjoyed using the griddle for breakfast and dinner and we also loved that the property was pet friendly and there were even treats, a leash and dog bed available. David was kind and extremely responsive during our time here. Unfortunately, it was very hot during our stay so we did not get to travel to any hiking spots, but we hope to come back again to stay and explore around the area more! Overall, we are extremely thrilled with our stay and definitely recommend staying on this charming property.

Fantastic location, very close to the parks and main road. The cottage smelled clean & fresh. The grill was ready to use and comfortable seating around the firepit. The bullfrogs sound very happy too. And of course, there were tons of fireflies at night.

This was an absolute perfect spot. Incredibly affordable, clean and comfortable. As long as you know how to be respectful of someone home and property this is such a great spot for a quick over night or even a weekend for a couple or with a friend. I highly recommend this spot.

I’m a return guest and have absolutely loved every stay at Water’s Edge. Deni’s place is clean, cozy, and welcoming. Close to hiking at local State Parks and nature preserves, a short drive to local shops and restaurants in Athens, and a lovely, peaceful oasis to enjoy if you want to stay in. Deni is a thoughtful and friendly host who I feel privileged to have met and chatted with on several occasions. I will keep coming back as often as I can. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Patti’s. The house was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the Keurig to make coffee in the morning. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and watching the hummingbirds. This was a great spot for us to stay to break up a long road trip. Patti was a great host and very proactive with communication. The only negative is that there is a dog kennel nearby with barking dogs. This took away from the peacefulness of sitting out on the porch in the late evening. However, the dog barking didn’t disturb us inside with the AC units running. So, it wouldn’t stop us from staying here again.

Nice, small, relaxing place with a pond. Close to Downtown McArthur. Easy checkin. Nice people. Will definitely stay again.

I would highly recommend this to anyone! This place was phenomenal and quiet and peaceful. Christine and Matt went beyond what anyone would expect. A lot of extra’s that you would not expect, like smores for the fire out back, snacks and drinks, a cheesecake, tooth paste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Extremely clean, extra blankets, pillows, robes, many towels, this place is extra clean, quiet. There is a hot tub, and a fire pit for the relaxing evenings. We will return without hesitation. Thank you Matt and Christine you two are the best, and very appreciated more than you know. Thank you again.

We loved our time here! We enjoyed walking the beautiful property, seeing all of the flowers and gardens Natalie is growing, sitting by the pond and visiting the animals. We look forward to coming back again!

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed by myself as a little momma get away and it was perfect. The Zucchini bread is as good as everyone says! The hot tub was wonderful! The hosts were extremely responsive whenever I needed anything and really helpful! There are even games and toys for kids/toddlers if that is what you’re doing. I of course was vacationing FROM the kids toys lol but I love that if we go back there are things for the kids. Be advised that this is a basement apartment so you’ll hear footsteps and sometimes muffled voices just like you would in any house. It didnt bother me at all! The views are spectacular and the property is just so peaceful. 10/10 would recommend for sure!!

Beautiful and stately old home that has been lovingly restored. Loved the fireplace and the sleigh bed. The tub was very quaint. Gardens were lovely. House was in a very nice neighborhood and it was so nice to be able to walk up town and to the park!
