Villa vacation rentals in Vettica Maggiore

From the moment we arrived Luigi and his family were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. On our first evening we were given 2 enormous freshly baked pizzas. Most welcome after a long day travelling here. As a party of five adults we stayed for two weeks and glad we did. The views from the Terrace were amazing, with spectacular sunsets. From the large deck and pool areas you can quietly relax and enjoy views of the sea or mountains. At meal times the fabulous gas Webber BBQ was greatly appreciated. Inside the rooms, there were some charming, decorative features which added to the ambience of the property. A large open kitchen/lounge area provides a lovely social space. From the property was a fabulous walk with amazing views over the Bay of Naples and Versuvius. The small village nearby is very friendly but as mentioned in other reviews a small car is essential which our hosts also helped us to arranged.

Absolutely a wonderful week in a beautiful villa! Giuseppe and Chiara are friendly, responsive hosts. Great location. Literally minutes to everything! Would recommend to anyone visiting Positano.

Every moment at Vincenzo’s home was wonderful. Thanks to Vincenzo’s family, I had an amazing trip in Italy. The Wi-Fi can be a bit weak in the house, but it also can be own your time. Vincenzo kindly provided some basic ingredients, so I could cook delicious meals at home. He was always available and helpful whenever I needed anything, which made me very confortable. If I come back to Furore, I would love to stay here again. Le auguro tanta salute e felicità. Arrivederci!

First..the property was absolutely breathtaking, not going to lie, there are many steps getting to the villa but worth it…the whole town is full of steps but the small town of 600 is charming. Miriam and Francesca were wonderful hosts, always available for anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this villa.

If you are thinking about booking this place - DO IT! I do not have the words to do justice to this accommodation. Davide (the on site host) was very communicative leading up to our visit with clear instructions and a warm introduction. He met us outside and gave us a tour of our residence with helpful hints while also answering any questions we had. He was so welcoming and wonderful! The views from multiple balconies are absolutely breathtaking, the decor is so special and unique, and the place was SPOTLESS. There are many steps throughout Positano, so steps are to be expected, but this location was perfect for us. The bus stop, local grocery store, and a cafe are a 1 minute walk. Throughout the entirety of our stay, we were remarking on how lucky we were to secure this place. I cannot imagine a better place in all of the absolutely beautiful town of Positano.

The views are amazing. We had tons of space and loved the loungers by the sea. The apartments and hosts were awesome. I would stay here again. We loved it!

We loved our stay here. Sorrento, Amalfi coast, and Positano are not for the faint of heart if you are not used to lots of steps or elevation changes. This home provided the perfect reprieve from the heat (we visited in the middle of June and caught a heatwave), the crazy roads (don't rent a car unless you are prepared mentally!) and the hustle and bustle of tourists. We were just close enough to everything to drive, take the bus, walk, or rent a boat, but also far enough that the morning and evenings were quiet and calm. The private entrance to the beach was lovely, we dipped into the water several times, but the beach location was also close, not too far for a drink and a lounge chair rental. While we only rented for two people, both rooms were very spacious, the kitchen perfect for coffee and quick reheat of foods. The staff was helpful checking us in, giving us guidance on where to go and what to do, and always ready to answer any questions we had.

I expected a lot and was impressed. Denise was available and helpful when needed but the place is amazing. Full of charm and private. The standard is by far enough even though not the latest. The various terraces by the cliffs may not be completely child-proof, but they are all the more charismatic, which is what I was looking for on my visit. Strongly recommended.

Very nice villa!! My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the terrace was beautiful and we had plenty of space for everyone.

Gorgeous house, charming town, beautiful views! We absolutely loved our stay here. Simone was a gracious host. Her niece met us when we got there and showed us everything. We spent a lot of time on the outside patio, enjoying the views. We appreciated the A/C in the bedrooms! The kitchen and house were both well stocked. We would definitely stay here again. We had some of our favorite meals in Vico Equense, based on Simone's recommendations. The bakery at the top of the steps was amazing! Such a lovely town, we don't speak much Italian and everyone was so patient and kind. What a great way to end our vacation!

We can’t say enough good things about our stay in Massa Lubrense and the amazing hospitality from Antonio. He helped us with everything we needed — even gave us a ride to Sorrento one day, saving us about €85 verses taking a taxi. The villa is exactly as pictured. There’s a small shop next door with snacks and drinks, and a larger market just a 5-minute walk away with groceries, toiletries, beach gear, and more. Everyone in the area is so friendly. Antonio knows many of the local restaurant owners, which made getting reservations easy — we were welcomed like friends everywhere we went. Several nearby restaurants even offer free pickup and drop-off, mostly for dinner but sometimes lunch too. We did pay a lot for taxi rides but really no way to avoid it due to the house being towards the top of the mountain. If you’re considering this place, stop thinking and just book it — you won’t regret it!

Had a great stay at Casa Elena. The host was super responsive, gave us recommendations, hooked us up with a boat to capri, tax drivers, and other recommendations and quick help with getting around! Also had flexible check in and check out procedures making our stay stress free!

Such beautiful views!! The outdoor space set this place apart with breathtaking water views in a private and quiet location, yet still walkable to restaurants & shops. Our host was able to greet us upon ferry boat arrival and helped arranged taxis to the Airbnb where she handed over the keys / gave us a brief tour of the place. She was very helpful and sent a list of recommended restaurants, shops and sites. The Airbnb itself was suited fine for our group of 6, but we didn’t spend much time inside since the island has so much to offer. It’s about a 15min walk to the Funicular so it’s really convenient to get to/from Marina Grande. Really a great stay in a scenic, central location just off the tourist path!

The views are amazing—better than in the images. The pool area was quiet, private, and stunning. The pool was large and deep, so it's not suitable for very young children. The garden was beautiful, with a spectacular display of flowers. The house is spacious. It's old but very clean. The plumbing could use some updating. There are two bedrooms upstairs in the main house. In a separate building, there is one bedroom with its own bathroom. The location was excellent for us, but it’s not suitable for people with limited mobility. Marco was friendly and helpful. All in all, a very good experience—and the views simply can't be praised enough. They are absolutely beautiful from the house. The house's swimming pool is also excellent.

This place is a beautiful oasis where we were able to relax, enjoy the view (all we could do was stare at the view for hours!), and were welcomed like family. Our hosts were kind, respectful, responsive, and gave us great advice on things to do. Antonella, our host at the villa, speaks great English, and the Feeling Italy concierge team was extremely knowledgeable and responsive. They were all especially helpful with arranging excursions and we loved that they offered add-ons like homemade meals cooked at the villa itself. The private chef, Patrizio, is very skilled and friendly, and we can't wait till we can see him again to enjoy another fantastic meal. Highly recommend the pizza party at the villa, and if you get a chance to try Patrizio's 'Lemon Delight' dessert, it will change your life. We appreciated the whole family's efforts with running this Airbnb - truly a fantastic stay. Our stay here was a highlight of our entire trip to Italy.

This was not only the most exceptional house and location but the host was just as amazing. Olimpia was kind, extremely responsive and welcomed us with open arms into her home. Her beautiful house was nothing short of amazing. The views of the coast and Capri were unmatched. The sunsets were the most beautiful we have seen. With the location we had access to the beach and just a quick bus ride into downtown Sorrento. This was best way to end our trip to Italy. Would highly recommend this host and villa to anyone looking to enjoy the coast in Italy.

I can’t thank Francesca and Roberto enough for their hospitality and welcoming personalities. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They make you feel like family. Their personal service is second to none and unlike any other Airbnb that I’ve stayed at before. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and appreciated all the help they gave us. From the restaurant tips to the detailed guide on how to get around, they always made themselves available. The welcoming meal was amazing as well as all of the other unexpected meals we received. Highly recommend staying with them and if we ever return to Amalfi there is no other place I would rather stay.

There are a lot of villas to search through in Sorrento, but really you should stop your search here. This location was absolutely perfect: views of the ocean, Mt Vesuvius, and the sunset; extremely helpful and kind hosts; beautiful gardens; and amenities to make you feel completely relaxed. Carlo and Emanuela have put so much time and care into making Villa Carolina an absolute pleasure to stay at. Recommend for anyone heading to Sorrento that wants to experience an Italian villa!

A wonderful stay at Il Carrubo. Great villa and amazing location. You definitely need a car but would recommend something small for the last 800 metres. The local town of St Agata is brilliant with a really friendly local community, some great restaurants/cafes, a supermarket and some fantastic local grocery stores selling some beautiful fresh produce. Easy access to Sorrento for the train up to Pompei and found a great car park near the station at circa €25 per day. Raffaella and Loredana were great hosts and were always quick to answer any queries or offer any tips etc. All in all, an amazing stay and an amazing villa in an amazing location. Thank you so much.

Ein wundervoller Aufenthalt in einer total schönen Villa. Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie in alle 4 Villen und hatten daher den ganzen Außenbereich für uns, was sehr toll war! Vincenzo ist total hilfreich bei allen Fragen und super freundlich. wir können die Villen von Vincenzo zu 100% weiterempfehlen! :) wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Valerio’s huis was gezellig en het uitzicht fenomenaal! Je kunt vanuit het huis helemaal naar zee wandelen - heen naar beneden, terug naar boven, dus wel een klim. Er zijn ook allerlei andere wandelingen, echt zo leuk! Het dorpje is geweldig; kleine supermarkt, slager en fantastisch koffie-ijs-broodjes zaakje. Probeer nioccola, onze nieuwe fav smaak!! Enige minpunt: het was echt koud in de avond en voor de verwarming moest je betalen, geen ramp, maar wel jammer. Verder fantastisch!

This was our second time here, unfortunately only for 5 nights this time as part of a longer trip. We love it here, so peaceful and traditional Italian village unspoilt by tourists. There are 3 excellent restaurants, 2 small supermarkets and a couple of bars, a pharmacy and an excellent cake and ice cream shop. Sorrento is an easy 25 minute bus ride away. Another couple of villages are even closer so we didn’t bother with a car. This is an exceptional property. Very clean and well equipped with an excellent well maintained garden for relaxing. Giancarlo is the perfect host, not intrusive but always available to help and advise, booking taxis etc. we hope to return one day.

Truly beautiful and very homely. Even though we arrived much later than planned, Luca and Carlo were very understanding. Gorgeous pool, lots of useful items to make our stay easy, such as beach towels and coffee. Definitely call into the supermarket on the way. We went to Grand été near Pompeii which was ideal. The mountain pass on the way to the house is pretty hairy but the remote setting for the house is breathtaking. We also enjoyed the meatball festival during our holidays. Big thanks to both Luca and Carlo.
