Vacation rentals with lake access in Vaxholm

Our stay at Hans and Lena's place was very pleasant. The house exactly matches the photographs and description, it is very welcoming and equipped with every comfort. It is easy to get around by public transport: a few minutes' walk from the house there is in fact the bus stop that takes 30/40 minutes to Stockholm. The surroundings of the house are quiet and the view of the canal is very evocative. Unfortunately, due to schedules, we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Hans and Lena in person, but we met the son, very helpful. In any case, hosts were always available via phone and provided us with all the necessary information.

Staying at this lakeside house by Kroksjön was an exceptional experience. The cleanliness was impeccable everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplaces were a highlight. Both the traditional wood-burning and modern styles created a warm, cozy atmosphere in the evenings a perfect way to unwind in the middle of nature. The private hot tub overlooking the lake was absolutely amazing. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by peaceful nature was incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to the whole experience. The house is surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, serene, and filled with the calming sound of birdsong. Wallbox charger for our electric car was a major convenience. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in Kristin's and Anders' beautifully renovated soldier's cottage with the highest possible standard. We loved the hot tub, the dock and the view. Anders and Kristin are dream hosts who fix everything and give lots of tips. I needed a small desk to work at and then they fixed it right away. They also gave us copies, tips on great restaurants and curiosities about the surroundings. Thank you so much! We will come back and can highly recommend this idyllic gem! ❤️

Cozy cottage on Yxlan. We were four adults and two small children, the cottage had everything we needed and it was very close to the sea.

A brilliant spot approximately 30 min drive from the centre of Stockholm. Right by the water with sea views and 9min drive to the local town. Our family (kids aged 9 and 12) loved the pool and hot tub. Elin and Johan were great and the house had everything we needed. Hoping to come back soon.

This is our second time staying here and we can’t wait to come back for a third. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and everything anyone would need. But add in the Jörgen is an amazing host! Responsive to any questions and friendly! The check in and check out process is the easiest we have ever had and we can’t wait to come back again! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to stay here

Absolutely great place! Exactly as described with great atmosphere and beautifully decorated. Perfect stay for 6 people (4 adults + 2 teenagers) with great connection to Lidingö tram connection to the city, Gashågga brygga for boats to the archipelago. Would recommend anyone for combination of city trip and some relaxed island vibe

The cabin was just perfect, surrounded by mother nature itself and directly at the sea. Really nice and calm place to get rid of the daily stress. I can definitely recommend this accommodation!

Best stay ever!!! It was incredibly beautiful, so I spontaneously extended it another week. The house is so cute, cozy, perfectly equipped and exceptionally clean! Upon arrival, Robert and Diana showed me the surroundings. The two are so warm and always available on site and by message and incredibly helpful. They give great tips for things to do, restaurants, etc. The lake is really right outside the door, very clean and great for swimming. I could borrow the SUP at any time. The sea is also just 2 minutes away. I will never forget the days there and left with a heavy heart. I've rarely had such a perfect place to stay! THANK YOU!

We had a fantastic stay with our family at the apartment and immediately felt at home. It was cosy, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is super central and close to everything. In case we needed assistance we were in contact quickly and helped. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place.

We stayed at Christian and Jaquemine's place for 30 days, and it was our first Airbnb experience. The flat is in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood. The nearby areas are perfect for hiking, with beautiful lakes, islets, beaches, and green forests with deer and other wildlife. Although the location seems far from the city on the map, frequent buses to Slussen take just 30 minutes, making it easy to reach the city centre whenever we wanted. I worked remotely during our stay, and the internet connection and workspace were excellent. The flat has everything one might need, and we never had issues wanting specific items, making it ideal for longer stays. I slept in both sleeping areas, and both were comfortable and spacious. The hosts were welcoming and kind. When my flight was postponed, they kindly offered to store my luggage even after check-out. They provided many thoughtful offers, showing how helpful and caring they are. I have no complaints and highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful time in Stockholm! After the daily sightseeing program, then quickly to the quiet suburb with subway and bus, good transport connection. Relaxed end of the day in a nice area by the lake. Thomas even picked us up from the train at check-in and showed us how and where the subway goes, the bus stops and shopping, explained everything superbly. The apartment was perfectly furnished with everything you need, very nice Nordic simple and functional, very spacious, bathroom with bathtub and shower. Kitchen equipped with everything. The contact with Thomas and Madeleine was very warm, never intrusive and always accommodating. We had a perfect vacation (in wonderful summer weather) and thank the two very much for their hospitality. We would come back anytime!

Me and my partner had the most wonderful stay at Stina’s cabin. The setting was stunning, even more beautiful than we expected! The cabin had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing three days on the island. We had a lovely time rowing the boat to Vindalsö, having saunas and quick dips in the sea, and a barbecue. We took the ferry to Sandhamn for the day- highly recommend for gorgeous beaches and picturesque houses. Stina was really friendly and helpful and also let us do our own thing. An ideal island retreat!

A real little haven of peace! The accommodation is modern, well arranged and perfectly located by the sea with stunning views. We loved the quiet of the surrounding nature. Ideal to unwind. Everything was clean and well thought out, the host is responsive and welcoming. We highly recommend it!

Peter and Marin’s sea cottage has a beautiful location, with an ever-interesting view of the sea channel into Stockholm. Lovely forest walks nearby. A very memorable stay.

We had a great time on the island. For us, a small family with two children, the small house was the perfect compromise between being in the city, but also having the possibility to be in nature. Michael was very friendly and helpful. The fact that we could use the canoe, was a very nice extra. It gave us the possibility to do something active rather than just being in the city of Stockholm. The ferry to the mainland, which is included in the public transport, was also nice for us to take. We had a very nice stay. Thanks Michael!

We spent two wonderful weeks in this fantastic house. Everything was perfect – the house is very well maintained, well equipped and offers a magnificent view of the water. The location on the quiet island is idyllic and yet Stockholm can be reached in only about 40 minutes. Linda and her husband were great hosts: warm, helpful and available at all times. We felt completely comfortable. We can highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay! The location is beautiful with nice walks nearby. The cottage is very well equipped. The sauna and wharf are picturesque. Ulla and Karl-Gustav are the most fantastic hosts. Very kind, responsive and available but also respect the space. We would love to come back!

An idyllic "bush retreat" in the Stockholm archipelago! Host Emelie was incredible – responsive, warm, and helpful from start to finish. Cosy, thoughtfully designed cottage with unique outdoor shower & relaxing patio tub. Well-equipped kitchen & inviting fireplace. Fantastic location: peaceful yet close to Torö stenstrand & Nynäshamn. Emelie's local tips were invaluable. Her exceptional hospitality truly stood out; she went above & beyond (new oars for the boat!). A true gem for a tranquil escape. Highly recommend! Left refreshed & grateful. Can't wait to return!

Franziska and her husband were very friendly and helpful, super responsive and came over immediately to help us with anything . the place was beautiful, with very walkable trails nearby to a lake.
