Cabin vacation rentals in Valtournenche

We spent two nights in this magnificent chalet. We can only confirm all the excellent reviews, expectations were high and were fully met, which rarely happens to us. Both the house and the garden correspond perfectly to the photos, everything is very clean and cared for in every detail. The context in which it is located is also beautiful, surrounded by typical Walter cabins with wonderful gardens. Friendly and cordial Beto was able to advise us on trips and restaurants. Excellent breakfast, with local products and jams, cake and cookies made by Beto's mother, Valentina, whom we met just before leaving. We fully approve of her project on the square, in this period of rampant individualism, her enthusiasm for giving life to an "evening living room" in which to meet and socialize, makes you feel truly welcomed by people who love their territory and want to share all this beauty. Thank you

Martino's accommodation is very pleasant, built and furnished with taste, the result of culture and modernity. It is near the village of Morgex, close to the thermal baths of Saint Didier, Courmayeur and Aosta. Everything is 10 to 20 minutes by road. For those who love hiking, it's on the road that leads to La Thuile and Lake Arby. I'm glad I found it.

Beautiful scenery and wonderful accommodation ! Private and yet easy to locate. If you are looking for a getaway that is peaceful and relaxing, this is it. Plus the managers were easy to communicate with and so very helpful. 😊

Truly an amazing cabin in the woods! We met the host in the town square and then we followed her by car up into the mountains about a five minute drive to the cabin. She was very friendly and an amazing host. She had cake and moscato wine and flowers waiting for us❤️ there was also milk and granola and lots of little snacky things. The hot tub was awesome! And the pellet fire place was a nice touch. There is a flowing stream and waterfall right below the house that you can sit and listen to or walk down and enjoy. Very beautiful.

We enjoyed our week at Chalet La balma together with our dog Elvis. You can walk beautifully from the chalet. The chalet is super in order, cozy and nice and warm. We didn't meet Marco but he's a very responsive host and we were welcomed by a sweet lady from the village. Upon arrival were pampered with wine, and many local treats. What a treat. We hope to come back to this special place!

The house is much better than on the site. It has stunning views of the valley which is beautiful, the mountains which had snowed white tops when we were there (end of May), the garden was covered with flowers as well as the fields surrounding the house. Small streams all around, and that Is almost the only thing you hear except for the birds. The house is well equipped including the kitchen we used a lot. About 10 minute drive the is the small village of vallpeline there is a small elementary shop, a pharmacy and a place to drink. Alberto was very helpful and always answered quickly. W will for sure come again !!!

Simply perfect accommodation to enjoy the beautiful nature by which it is surrounded. Diana was always available and very kind and nice. I fully recommend it!!

Very nice place, really located in the woods, it was relaxing to sleep surrounded by nature. Elisabetta was very present with every indication and precise and immediate answers to our questions, even if in the end we did not have the pleasure of meeting her, but also Loredana, her partner, was very thorough. We had a great breakfast at Koivu, very convenient being right in front of where we stayed, especially the carrot cake. We hope to return soon.

Elisa welcomed us with the utmost kindness and availability in what is for all purposes a haven of tranquility and nature. The road to the accommodation climbs on a dirt path, better to venture with a slightly "high" car, but it's part of the magic of the place. From the house there are several paths for both experts and less "trained". We will definitely return to enjoy the peace of this place, absolutely recommended to those who love peace and nature, and look for a way to escape from the chaotic city

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend in the cabin. The place was clean, tidy, and had everything you need for a pleasant stay.

Beautiful house in beautiful location. Everything neat and clean. Spacious house with everything you need. A large garden with terrace and great views of the Mont Blanc massif. The car along the road is no problem, stuff is brought up by someone! Despite the fairly high price (which fits the location) absolutely a gem to book!

We had a great time at the Diro chalet. The kids played with the snow in the small patch of grass in front of the house, skied to and from Valtournenche cable car and had plenty of fun with the Wii. We found the chalet had a very practical design, with a wet area and ski box to leave skying going ar and boots coming back from a young walk. Local restaurants, supermarkets and shops are a 10 minutes walk away. The chalet had a beautiful spot in the corner of the lounge where my husband used to sit and read a book in the morning sun, enjoying the view across the valley and river. A beautiful spot and property, we all wish we can come back one day

Incredibly beautiful house! We had already walked by it in a summer and took photos of it. Our surprise and enthusiasm was great when it turned out that we had rented exactly that house now! Inside, the house is completely in style and cozily furnished with a lot of attention to details. We felt right at home! The area is beautiful, that was also the reason for our arrival. The nature, the mountains, the delicious food, the friendly people, we are in love with Valsessia! The owners are super nice, respond immediately to any question and are very helpful - e.g. when booking a restaurant on New Year's Eve. The genepy is also very tasty, thank you again! It is important to know that the owners at the top of the house still have their own part for recreation. Since the wooden floors are still completely original, the house is very noisy but that did not affect our vacation, on the contrary, we are very happy to have met you Antonella and Giancarlo!

Incredible views, beautiful place, very clean and comfortable

The apartment is in a small hamlet above Arvier, only a few houses in the middle of the woods. The window wall of the living room allows you to immerse yourself in nature while staying warm inside the house. The heating system is exceptional, I stayed in December and, sitting in the rocking chair, I spent the evening watching the snow and fox outside the window. It is the ideal place for those looking for peace of mind. The kitchen is well equipped, new set of pots, the fridge is spacious, in the village there are no bars or restaurants, better if you arrive with a little shopping. The furnishings are brand new and the mattress is a 5-star hotel.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting in the middle of nature with an exceptional view, it is comfortable, well-appointed, functional while remaining pretty and sober. The kitchen is equipped with quality, you can cook well, the bedding is of very good quality and everything is impeccable it's very nice. Several hikes leave directly from the chalet and the area is extremely rich in outdoor recreation and cultural visits to Aosta. Joel's hospitality, responsiveness, kindness are a plus. The whole family really wants to come back

I stayed at Simone’s chalet for a week at the end of February 2025 with my wife, grown up son, his girlfriend and my daughter. The chalet is a short walk up from the car park, near (the excellent) La Grange restaurant and funicular lift. The chalet is self-contained, lined with wooden panels and comfortable with great views down the valley. There is a good-sized sitting room, with dining table and small but perfectly usable kitchen, with an oven, hob and dishwasher. The WiFi signal is good - there is a TV in the sitting room - the basement has a washing machine - the bedrooms are cosy. There is a bathroom with a good shower. We travelled to Turin airport from London and rented a car for the journey to Frachey, which took about 90 minutes. There is a small supermarket in Champoluc, which we used. Communication with Simone was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend the chalet for anyone looking for a cosy and comfortable place, within easy reach of the ski slopes of Frachey.

What can I say: the chalet is enchanting and Margherita/Matilde are wonderful and responsive co-host. The chalet may not tick every single box in terms of modern comforts, but for a precious 600 year old building in a mountain hamlet it is incredibly well designed and equipped. We found it in immaculate conditions and equipped at a very high standard (no dish washer, but there is no space for it). Most things were provided for, rather than the bare empty cabinets one often finds. No central heating; the pellet stove is very cosy and warms up the place very nicely, but it needs to be turned on and off (no time programming). The location is equally enchanting, but it’s a vigorous trek up, so it may not be for everybody. I was moved the moment I walked in, so magical is the place, and felt right at home. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly made me and my family feel privileged to be able to share in its history, beauty and warmth. Thank you Virginia and Margherita!
