A stunning house filled with bright, natural light. River frontage and valley and mountain views. Two sitting rooms, both with DSTV so you can have sport and cooking on at the same time! Only 6 minutes drive from The Clarens Square and 26 restaurants, yet you can unwind completely in the peacefulness of the wind and sunshine. Lovely walks. Electric blankets and wood burning fires , fully equipped kitchen, 4.5 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms including one with 4 bunk beds. It's huge but homely.

Hidden in a quiet corner of our working farm it overlooks a pristine section of the Wilge River, with the famous waterfall and Nelson's Kop mountain providing spectacular scenery. A hop, skip and a jump off the N3, situated in in the Van Reenen Eco Village Precinct. Down the road from the little church tea garden. A great one night stop off. Breakfast at the Tea Garden (not included) or take a early morning walk before continuing with your journey. Dinner can be booked in advance. Safe and convenient for single female travelers with manager living next door. No charge for children/elderly parent sleeping on lounge bed if accompanied by both parents.

Sunbird Cottage is on a working farm 30km from Volksrust and Wakkerstroom Wetlands, it is a place to come and relax and recharge, we are off grid. There is great birding, walking, mountain biking and bass fishing on site, there are also kayaks for the dams. The cottage overlooks a gorge that goes down to the Slang River with an indigenous forest and has great views over the valley towards Amajuba Mountain and Battlefields for those interested in history.
