Bring coworkers, family, friends, or come alone on a trip to beautiful Herøy. The house is located countryside with good hiking opportunities in the immediate area. You can enjoy quiet days in the garden or on the nearest swimming beach, which is about 1 km from the house. It is about 10 km to Fosnavåg which has shops and eatery, or 15 km to Runde which is famous for the great nature and the sea parrot (Lundefuglen), you can also in a couple of hours by car take a trip to Ålesund, Loen, Geiranger, or perhaps you will experience the West Cape.

If you want a peaceful family, weekend or holiday, then this is the place. The apartment is large and spacious with beds for 4 people. It may be possible to have more beds in the living room if you wish. There is a terrace overlooking the sea that you can enjoy. 3 min car ride to grocery store, 7 min drive to Ulsteinvik city centre - 20 min to Fosnavåg . Just metres from the town centre, but very quiet at the end of a narrow road, with amazing fjord and mountain views! Your parking space is in front of our house, and you go down an exterior staircase to your entrance. The entry has a big wardrobe. Next is the modern and fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower and washer dryer combo. Down the hallway is a bedroom with a 150x200cm bed and a big closet, and a living room with a sofa bed that pulls out to 140x200cm and a crib. Gamlestova was the original farmhouse in the main tunnel of the farm and is a historic traditional building with airy barrier now with skylight and large kitchen called Kove. From the canopy bed in the living room you can wake up to the sunrise and you are lucky to follow a tourist boat on your way to Olden with your eyes. In the evening, one can fire in the oven, feel the good heat, read a good book and fall asleep to the light of the flames and the sound of the wood stove nearby.

Location on Skredestranda, about 3.5 km from Årvik ferry dock, in a quiet and peaceful area. Here you can relax and recharge. You might be lucky to see a flock of orcas in the fjord, or see eagles and deer. Rovdefjorden is a busy fjord for both big and small boats, also cruise ships going to/from Geiranger. The cabin is 20 m from the sea, where there are good fishing opportunities (rod). Steep swab and close. We have life vests available.
