This is a popular property that is difficult to book, so we recommend saving it to your favorites! Located in Uji, one of the settings of the Tale of Genji, it is a house with pure floors, located in a quiet residential neighborhood. During the day, you can enjoy sightseeing spots such as Heiden-in Temple, the Genji Museum, and the Nintendo Museum, as well as experience-based events such as strawberry picking and tea picking. The accommodation was created with care to make it fun for children. There is a 100-inch screen, a loft that looks like a secret base, and hammocks, so children can enjoy themselves freely, and it is a relaxing space where you can enjoy tea time and dinner, such as matcha sweets, while watching over your children. We also have a manga, "Asaki Yumemishi", based on the Tale of Genji, so you can immerse yourself in the elegant world. Strollers, free cycling (4 bikes), and free parking (2 spaces) are also available, making it convenient for getting around by car. [Kyomachiya Rental] 115-year-old Kyomachiya · Takasegawa Shichijo
The private rental accommodation "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old Machiya Townhouse. The Machiya Townhouse, which forms part of the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been remodeled into a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation performance while retaining its original structure, so that you can have a comfortable stay even in the humid and hot summers and harshly cold winters that are unique to Kyoto. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden, which is designed in the image of a "roji" (*a garden leading to a tea room). In addition, we have provided a sofa in the hallway so that you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time while looking at the illuminated tsubo garden. There are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor: a Japanese-style room with 2 single beds and a Western-style room with 2 single beds. If there are 5 or more guests staying, we will lay futons in the Japanese-style room on the first floor and use it as a bedroom, though it is a bit of a hassle. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and dishes for simple cooking.
