A very hospitable host. A beautiful place.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming house. The host had warmed up the entire home for our arrival and even placed fresh flowers on the table — such a thoughtful touch. The house was beautifully decorated in a nostalgic, “great-grandmother” vintage style, with lovely old books, furniture, and wallpaper that created a cozy and authentic atmosphere. Everything was perfectly clean and fully equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. We can warmly recommend this place to both small and large families — it’s child-friendly, has a spacious and lovely garden, and offers excellent parking.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay at my grandmother's house and the sensory garden. Incredibly thoughtful "great-grandmother" style and a lovely garden. Great fit for 6 people. Perfect place to have afternoon tea as Nina has lots of nice cottage dishes and nice tea dishes. Clean, tidy and well set up for rental. Peaceful and rural location.

Communication with Astrid was very good . Solutions were found for everything uncomplicated. She was very accommodating and friendly.

Great stay, short distances to harbor, shop and cafe. Maybe it's a good fit yes again, we will be happy to come back.

This was our 3rd stay in Odd Karl's house. We have had a great time as usual and look forward to coming back in August.

Great house that was perfect for us, a group of 12 people: Many bedrooms to share, large kitchen with lots of equipment for communal cooking, living room with sofa and TV for socializing. The barn with billiards and table tennis was used diligently! Access to the swimming pool was the icing on the cake.

The house was great, the communication was very good. We got answers to everything we wondered about. Very easy to get around, and all in all it was simply absolutely great. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay here! The check in was easy, the home was lovely with everything you would want and need with a gorgeous outside area which would be perfect with some good weather, plenty of space for parking and the area was very quiet. All with a very helpful host who was very responsive. We will definitely be staying here again!

We would love to give more than 5 stars! We have been there for the 2nd time and it will certainly not be the last time. The house, the garden, the location and the view are simply fantastic! It really is a special place :) Jan Åsmund and Ingvild are also great hosts who are always friendly and easy to reach. It is also worth renting the boat, as it is a good way to explore the fjord. We 100% recommend the place.

We had a wonderful stay at Øyvind's home and his family. The house has a great location with breathtaking views! If we had any questions, Øyvind always responded quickly and provided us with good information and also gave us many helpful tips for excursions and restaurants. He was very warm and friendly. We stayed here with our family with 3 children for 11 days. What an atmospheric and cozy home! Very authentic but also with hue lamps and sonos boxes 😄 Suddenly we discovered the boxes outside. Sunshine, kids in the pool, your favorite music on and then the view of the mountains, goose bumps!! Anything you need is present in the house. Nice and quiet place and the sheep were cozy almost every morning at the fence. 😊 Daniel responds bizarrely during the day, 😄friendly host. So no longer doubt and book this house!

Very kind and helpful host. Responded quickly to our requests. The house is fantastic. Feels like a historical building but have all the modern facilities that you need. Nicely situated close to the habor.

Very nice people. Large house. A lot of cozy space. Had to book suddenly and got a very quick response from the host. Good communication, very helpful if you need something extra and etc. If someone likes to stay a little with nature, then I highly recommend it. Short distance to Haugesund city center. If we get the chance to come back to Haugesund or nearby, we will probably use it again. 😊

We spent a stop here on our round trip. The lock house is a very unique place to stay and nicely decorated. The service with the boat also worked very well. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we could only drive out once. The boat is easy to control and we were also able to catch some fish. We felt very comfortable with the dog and will definitely come back.
