There are nice hiking areas in the local area; local peaks such as Hest and Himakånå are popular. It is also possible to take a day trip to Preikestolen and Stavanger. The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt" is located 15 min drive from the cabin. In the summer months (May to Sept) it is possible to rent a boat and kayaks. Animals are not allowed in the cabin. Cozy cabin by the fjord. Perfect for couples, families, and friends.

Lawn for football, badminton etc. 800 meters to walk to well-maintained, public beach (Aksnesstranda). Alternatively, one can drive there. The garden has herbs, flowers, berries and fruits. The bathroom is small. It has a toilet, sink and a primitive hand shower. New wood stove 2025. Rural, but only 16 mins. to drive to the city's restaurants and attractions.

Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

The cottage is located in quiet surroundings and you're going to love our place because it's located right by the fjord. You can easily go fishing and hiking or just relax and enjoying the view. Furthermore, the quiet surroundings make it magical when you take a bath in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.
