In peace, cottage, electricity, lake in winter

This unique and peaceful retreat makes it easy to relax. The cottage is located on the shore of Ounasjoki. Behind the river is Aakenustunturi. The cottage has electric heating, a wood stove, and a fireplace. The sauna is heated with wood, which is also located in the same building. Access to the sauna is via the terrace. Water for the sauna is fetched from the river with buckets and heated with wood in the sauna stove. The property has a very neat outdoor toilet with no heating. The ice hole in the river is open in winter.

Here you can do skiing, snowshoeing, and fishing. In addition, we organize snowmobile tours as desired. The cottage is about 75km to the city of Rovaniemi. Ice fishing tour 40€ person, 1-2h. An atmospheric log cabin by the River Äkäsjoki. From the windows of the cottage, you can follow the flowing river, which is less than 20 meters away. You can go swimming after the sauna without worrying about the neighbors. This cabin accommodates 7 people at its best, but works best with less than six people. Downstairs there's a hallway, a kitchen-living room with a great fireplace, a sauna, a bathroom, a toilet, and a bedroom. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each overlooking nature.

Just a few hundreds metre of the front channel of the river you find our peaceful, cosy house. You will be able to use one half of the house. The house has two flats which are not connected. Privacy and peace for our guests! To the centre of Muonio, where you can find a very good selected K-market shop and also a S-market it is just about 2,2 km.
