We had a wonderful stay at the Red House! The space was very cozy, yet surprisingly roomy — perfect for relaxing and feeling right at home. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the setting felt peaceful and private throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a quiet retreat.

We had an amazing stay at Greg’s cottage. It was the perfect getaway and the perfect mix between cozy cottage and fancy amenities! We loved the sauna and the hot tub, they were amazing additions to Greg’s. The beds were super comfortable as well which is always a plus at a cottage. Greg was always responsive and was super helpful. We cannot wait to come back to this cozy cottage! Thanks Greg!

My friends and I stayed at this Airbnb as a surprise weekend away to celebrate our friend getting married. This Airbnb was the perfect spot for us, with lots of wonderful amenities on the property itself as well as a distillery and cider house within a less than 5 minute walk away. We were blown away by the attention to detail at this place, they are fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, including board games and outdoor activities. The entire property was pristine, inside the house and outside. The hosts were extremely kind and quickly responsive to messages. They even helped us with recommendations in the area. Do yourself a favour and book a stay here. My friends and I are hoping to return for another visit in the future! Thanks Wayne & Carolyn for a great stay. :)

Beautiful Airbnb for a girls weekend away! Everything was very clean and the Airbnb was decorated very nicely. It was the perfect spot for my bachelorette weekend. The hosts were nice enough to leave us a bottle of wine and a handwritten note for our stay. The host checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure everything was going well, and we knew we could reach out to them at any point throughout the stay. They were quick to respond to any messages. The property was beautiful as well, and we really enjoyed the hot tub!

We stayed at the North COTTAGE for a ladies work trip to Peterborough. Everything was as listed, and this was one of the cleanest Airbnbs I have stayed in! We really loved the coffee bar, and the morning view was beautiful. The hot tub and pool were very clean and great to use after a long day of training. Thanks for a pleasant stay, Mike!

We had a wonderful bachelorette weekend at Joanie’s place! There were many games and water toys to keep us entertained our entire stay. We loved using the hot tub and sauna and had an all around blast! The bbq is in a perfect location to look at the pristine lake view as well. Cant recommend this place enough, perfect location and amazing amenities. Thank you Joanie!

Amanda’s place was perfect for our girls’ weekend getaway. The peaceful location on the river was ideal and the house has so much space and is laid out well for a larger group. Lots of places you gather together or get away to a quiet spot on your own. The deck down by the water was such a nice spot to gather with coffee or cocktails. We’ll be back if Amanda will have us!

One of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure speaking with. Brenda provided tons of information prior to check in, made the check in/out process seamless. We came here for a wedding in the area and felt right at home. If you looking for a weekend away with a homey feel this is the place for you! Thank you Brenda! We can’t wait to be back!

Absolutely stunning property and very well thought out features, such as a well stocked rec room. But with the beautiful surrounding of the property and river, most of our time was gladly spent outdoors. Highly recommend this location and host. I will definitely return.

We returned to Amanda and Josh’s after a wonderful visit last summer. The cottage remains absolutely beautiful - a very peaceful location. Amanda is super responsive and always there for any assistance. We highly recommend this luxurious get away!!!

Casey's home was beautiful and the effort they put into the small touches really shows.Everything was spotless when we got there and their instructions were clear and helpful. Their guide on things to do in the area were also great. We enjoyed the hot tub, the BBQ, and the patio in equal measure and overall had an amazing time! Thank you Casey, we will be back!

Our time at Lazy Bear Lakehouse on Buckhorn Lake was truly unforgettable. Tucked away in a serene and scenic spot, the cottage offered the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. The cottage was spotless, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, allowing us to settle in and enjoy from the moment we arrived. The view overlooking the lake was absolutely stunning—constantly shifting throughout the day with the changing light. The sunset was especially breathtaking, painting the sky and water in the most vibrant and calming hues. Although the hosts, Michelle and Ryan, were not on-site, they were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Their thoughtful touches and clear communication made everything seamless and stress-free. Buckhorn Lake is one of the most peaceful places we’ve ever visited. Whether it was morning coffee on the deck or quiet afternoons enjoying the stillness of the water. We love it!

Great great place! Beautiful view and the house is very well taken care of. Patrick has been super helpful and responsive. Especially if you enjoy cooking & baking, you will find everything you need in the nice kitchen. Definitely would recommend.

Aryan was a great host. We had all the amenities we needed and he was very responsive. No hiccups at all! All our guests asked for the link to the place so they could rebook for themselves!

The host was very responsive and answers all our questions well. The self-checkin instruction was very clear. We also had an early check-in at 12 PM, which was very convenient for our trip. The place has a great view and very stylish furnitures. We enjoyed the dock and sitting near the campfire.

Cottage is comfortable & very well equipped. The deck over the water is divine, esp in the perfect early fall weather we had. We spent blissful early morning & evening hours out there loving the tranquility & lake view. We'd definitely like to do a repeat next fall. That said, Oak Lake is small & ringed by many cottages, likely very lively with boats & rec vehicles in high season. Though we were dying to go in the water, the lake bottom is very yucky. If swimming & easy access from-shoreline matters to you, this location isn't ideal. There may be other sites around the lake where you can get into the water, don't know. What is ideal for kids is the bunkie with bunk beds. (We didn't realize the extra bedroom pictured is a bunkie, in which our senior girlfriend who visited us didn't want to sleep, so used the LR sofa instead.) To swim, we went to Sandbanks provincial park, with its amazing beaches, about an hour away.

The house was spotless and the garden was absolutely lovely. Both we and our dog had a wonderful time during our stay. We always bring our own sheets to Airbnb stays, but we couldn’t help noticing how fresh and clean the ones here smelled — that was a really nice touch. Many of the things we brought with us were already available in the house, which made everything so convenient. Hot water was always available, which made our stay even more comfortable. The garden was peaceful, filled only with the sounds of birds and frogs — it was truly relaxing to just listen to nature. Getting away from Toronto for a few days was exactly what we needed. Before we arrived, Dylan had kindly left firewood out in the yard for us — that was such a thoughtful gesture and we really appreciated it. As a suggestion, the double bed could use some improvement — it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, the mosquitoes were really intense; despite using repellent, we were bitten all over. We loved that it had a private waterfront where you can fish on the dock. We took the canoe out to fish as well. Place was cozy and clean. Would stay here again!

Great location right on the Trent River! Very nice outdoor space with lots of things to do and perfect for fishing, etc. Lots of fun with our family of 6!

When selecting our holiday this year, we were looking for somewhere peaceful with a beautiful view that would allow us to recharge batteries. Patrick's home provided exactly this. The whole experience was awesome, the view spectacular. Overall the activities on the lake did not cause significant concern, the lake is big enough for jet skis but not for full motorboats. There were a few people who felt it was a great idea to just dash up and down the lake at top speed, but they soon got bored and stopped and this was, generally, only at the weekend. The rest of time the place was just serene. We were sad when it was time to go, we stayed 8 days and could have stayed 8 more.
