Situated 15mins drive from the royal Welsh show ground in Builth, 15mins from Rhayader and the Elan Valley, 15mins from Spa town Llandrindod wells, just over an hour to Aberystwyth and west coast beaches, it is the ideal location! The house sits on the edge of a forestry leading up a hill with stunning views and lots of dog friendly walks/bike rides. Ideal for fishing in the Wye!

Little Pudding Cottage 's Welsh name is Pontbren-Ddu and is a beautiful example of a country hideaway. Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. The accommodation is full of character and original charm, while maintaining the modern comforts of home. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites. The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food. Enormous panoramic windows let you watch the red kites soaring over the mountains from the snuggly comfort of your bed. There's a woodburner for cosy nights, a wood fired hot tub for romantic evenings and a fire pit come barbecue for marshmallows. You also have a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, lounge and mezzanine bedroom. Just for grownups this cottage has space for two adults.

Irfon Cottage, Penrheol Farm

Irfon cottage sleeps two guests with its cosy open plan layout. The bedroom has a super king bed which can also be arranged as twin beds by request. The bathroom has a shower. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with the living area comfortably furnished. You are welcome to bring up to one dog please include this on booking, we ask that pets are not allowed in the bedroom and if they do go on the sofa, blankets are provided. There is an EV charger.

The location of The Shed, Galedrhyd is truly unique. Step outside the door and you have walking access to 70 sq. miles of the stunning Elan Valley Estate and beyond. The Elan Valley is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and therefore the lakes and countryside are protected and provide a sanctary for an abundance of wildlife and nature. The valley also has International Dark Sky Status. This is all available to you without using your car!

A separate downstairs lounge contains the original oven/stove and has a large window seat providing beautiful views across the valley. Aberdar is perfect for getting away from it all and provides a great base for walking, bird watching or exploring the picturesque counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.
