We had a great stay at Mikkun’s Airbnb. It was clean, well-maintained, and spacious enough for our family of three—could easily fit four. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the clear instructions for appliances and Wi-Fi were very helpful. There’s a large bed and a sofa-cum-bed our daughter used comfortably. The location is lively and walkable, with easy access to the station and plenty of places to eat nearby. A few things to note: the apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage was a bit challenging. Also, there's a karaoke bar on the 2nd floor, which can be a bit noisy at night—but earplugs are thoughtfully provided. Mikkun was a kind and responsive host. Highly recommended!

We stayed for five nights, to visit Kamikochi and Matsumoto. The house is amazing! For three people there is incredible much space and during our trip we enjoyed the opportunity, to have an own room each. The eating room and the living room are very cozy too. There is the opportunity to eat/relax outside on the veranda and the kitchen offers enough equipment to cook a meal. We would love to come back and highly recommend the hostel/house for groups!

★☆★ OMOTENASHI TERU×TERU HOUSE ★☆★

HannahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We found this a cosy retreat in the heart of Takayama - an easy walk to everything. It was great to experience a Japanese home like this after being in hotel rooms. The two bedrooms are very large and spacious. Our host was super friendly and helpful - you can't ask for better! It's amazing to have a handy parking space right near the house. We could drive out and explore the countryside and come home and park easily (we recommend a small car is best for the space). We appreciated the little touches left in the kitchen for us (bread, milk, etc)! If you have mobility issues, note that the stairs up to the bedrooms are steep and narrow and the bathroom is by the front door. Also there are no chairs in the house - you will need to get down to sit on the floor (or a little wooden stool). We had no trouble with any of that though. Thanks again to our lovely host for such a pleasant stay! Takayama was a highlight of our trip to Japan.

This house is perfect for a group! It’s spacious and has a great kitchen, a lot of space outside and the perfect shower! We were a couple so it was a bit big and pricey for us but we loved it! It’s 15min drive from Takayama which is incredibly sweet and fun. Our host warned us he doesn’t speak English but he was super nice and easy to understand. Highly recommended:)))

A wonderful place to stay for us as a group of family on a road trip, located in the ski resort area while feeling secluded. The surrounding is beautiful, with large living room balcony on second floor overlooking beautiful trees. The off season price was exceptionally good value, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (toilet and shower together each). The kitchen was well-equipped and we had a great time hanging in the kitchen making meals after days of just eating out. Highly recommended! I can imagine it gets booked fast during peak ski season. Would definitely love to come back :) Thank you Morino for such a great stay!
