Cottage vacation rentals in Toddington

We had such a delightful time. The house and garden were glorious. We really appreciated all the welcoming touches in the house such as blankets and games. We loved it and hope to be back, thank you.

We'd just sold our house of 22 years and needed somewhere to stay for a few days and I was in such muddle I'd not even looked in any detail at where we were staying so arriving at Bethnal and Becs was a lovely surprise. Everything was luxury and quality. Chris and Vicky put a lot of energy and love into making the stay there relaxing. We loved the amazing double shower and the outside bath. Great walk to the Jolly Waggoners pub nearby. We hope to have an excuse to come back.

We liked Nick’s place. Our group were 6 adults and 4 children of 6 years and under and we had plenty of space. The children mainly played in the play room and lounge, which left the kitchen and dining room as an easy space to get the jobs done. We had a hot tub in the garden and also used the barbecue. We will try to visit again.

Outstanding hosts. We were super happy to stay with them for a second time! The welcome basket was a really thoughtful gesture and the extra touches like robes and slippers were very helpful.

Great place to stay very secluded and private not a bad little boozer at the end of the lane either.

We really enjoyed our break. The cottage was bigger than expected and looks out on to a large field/meadow. The surroundings are very peaceful. Very eclectic and fun decor. The host was communicative and helpful. We had a lovely girls weekend!

Travelled for work, great place to stay, very stylish and clean. Great country views and lots of open space. Chris and Vicky were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful environment - we felt right at home. Olivia and family (including Ulu and Dumpling) were very friendly and accommodating..

Nikki has been an absolutely amazing host. Excellent communication from the initial enquiry and provided a lovely gift for my Son & Wife who had just got married. They loved the cottage and pubs in Old Welwyn. Nikki also kindly let us know something had been left and arranged for us to collect. Totally recommend this beautiful cottage and wonderful host.

We spent most of our time hiking, but had a few quality hours enjoying a nice relaxing evening afterwards. the house suited us perfectly. we would happily recommend. we couldn't locate the cutlery in the recess draw, but not a big deal

This was booked a few weeks before we stayed and suited us to the ground. Bicester Village was the perfect place close by to get to Oxford by train. Easy to get to Blenheim Palace for their opening Christmas Weekend and Festival of illuminations. The Property had everything you could wish for, air Fryer, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge etc Christmas really did start early for as we were leaving with over an inch of snow on the Green and then 2 hours driving home in a Blizzard.

Brilliant location as we were attending a friend’s wedding at Longstowe Hall. The cottage itself was immaculate and cozy - we felt at home straight away. We were travelling with our baby daughter and the cottage had everything we needed for her. Would definitely recommend and wish we had been able to stay longer.

We had a great stay at Lychgate House, it felt like a real home from home. Everything was good and as described and shown in the photos. On top of that the bed was very comfy and it was so quiet at night. Lovely to hear the church bells in the daytime. Marie was a great host, very friendly and helpful.

Honestly an amazing stay been here twice now and it was perfect both times

we stayed at Silsoe with another couple and three young children and it worked really well for us. It was very spacious and the huge enclosed garden was brilliant for letting the kids run wild. The direct access to the estate was also really unique and made it very easy to pop in and out. Overall a lovely stay.

We felt at home in Justin’s property and the surroundings are very peaceful. Great location for nice rides on the countryside and visits to a few National trust places. Thanks

I had a wonderful stay at the coach house. Erik and Vicky are lovely hosts, the house is in a quiet, peaceful location, spotlessly clean and the comfiest bed. Really clear instructions and great communication. Thank you so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Host David was extremely helpful, he met us at the property showed us around and recommended places to eat out/visit. Property was clean tidy and set in a beautiful little village. Would highly recommend this property to others.

Indi's place is an oasis. A beautiful setting in the countryside, lots of wildlife, close to gorgeous public pathways....just wonderful. Our home for three nights was incredibly cozy, nicely decorated and well equipped. our hosts were just wonderful, and delivered freshly baked croissants daily too! we can't express enough what a super lovely time we had at Indi's place, and very much hope to visit again down the road. Thank you Indi!

We stayed at this cottage with my parents and our 1 year old daughter, whilst visiting the Harry Potter Studio which was a short drive away! It was a really lovely cottage in a lovely area. The cottage had everything you needed and was clean and tidy. The bedrooms were cosy and beds very comfy. Paul was very helpful with my requests regarding the baby gates and cot, which made our stay with a 1 year old very easy! Highly recommend this cottage!

Fantastic place to stay, very cosy and comfortable. Comfy beds, modern bathroom, well decked out kitchen, Smart TV with all the apps, loads of storage in the bedrooms, ideal for our family of 4 staying for a week. Great location, on a quiet stretch of road, tucked away and private, but within easy driving distance of amenities. Great base for things to do in the area... Chesham itself is the last stop on the Metropolitan line which is ideal, only 8 mins drive from the cottage and cheap to park for the day. Its also a great spot to get to Harry Potter Warner Studios and Windsor which is why we chose it. Ellen was a fab host, lots of info sent through beforehand and responded quickly. We didn't need to bother her or her family whilst there, but we knew the offer was there if we needed it.

Robert and Kate were fantastic hosts! Their cottage is a hidden gem - we enjoyed walks along the farm public foot paths and star gazing in the evening in the picnic area outside the cottages at night. The view is beautiful! It's a very quiet area and extremely safe. Our children were able to play outside without concern. Robert and Kate also gave our children lots of outdoor games to play with which kept them entertained. The cottage itself had everything we needed - and we had a cot and high hair provided for the little one. A super comfy double bed and the children's room suitable for our young children. We’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s and this was definitely one of our favourites! We did not want to leave and could have stayed happily for a much longer trip. Jen was a very responsive and friendly host who could not do more for us! There were so many thoughtful extras that were very sweet and unexpected. Check in was very simple and I much preferred the keypad door to usual Airbnb check in methods as we didn’t need to worry about keys etc. The barn itself is exquisitely beautiful and full of charm and character. The attention to detail and quality of the decor and furnishings matched perfectly. We used both the main bed and the sofa bed which were both very comfortable. The barn was completely spotless and well organised. The provided breakfast items were really lovely and perfect for a summer morning on the private patio table overlooking the stunning gardens. Thank you so much for your hospitality Jen, you should be very proud of your idyllic retreat.
