Cottage vacation rentals in Timberlake

This cutesy cabin was just around the corner from great wine, kayaking, and a fun little icecream shop! It was next to a road tho, so a little less private and we had to be careful our dog stayed close, but loved the accessibility anyway. Super recommend visiting!

Great location. Cool house. Plenty of shade. Everything’s easily a short 10-15 min boat ride. Beach close by. The cub house is awesome for kids (even has an intercom to communicate with the main house). Only complaint I have is there were no cleaning supplies, spare toilet paper, or what I would consider basic supplies.

We had a great time at this cute little renovated ranch. It was very clean and fresh! They supplied fresh bread and coffee k-pods - nice touches! Good location for vineyards and hiking! We did ask for a late check out and they were not able to accommodate without a charge, that was disappointing, but they did disclose that ahead of time.

Fantastic location that was perfect to get away in the peace and quiet. Rachel was easy to contact and quick to respond and gave us some excellent recommendations for the area. Would definitely book here again.

This place is nice. It is very quiet, private and peaceful. If you want a place to get away and relax, this is the place. We had a very enjoyable time and got in some hiking not too far away too.

It was exactly what we were looking for and expected for a simple, quiet girls getaway for Mother’s Day. The chairs outside around the fire pit were our favorite! Clean and efficient! The fact they provided K cups and a few snacks was a great touch!

We loved this stay. The cottage was very cozy and had everything we could need. the host was responsive and kind and the farm was beautiful. we even got a tour of the cows, chickens, and horses.

Space was quiet and private. We had an easy time getting there and elsewhere in Roanoke. Host had really helpful recommendations for food and things to do!

What a great place for our family to stay during W&L Graduation week! The location is beautiful and just a few minutes from downtown Lexington! We loved being right next to the tasting room to just walk over and grab a few of bottles of wine! I loved that my dogs were able to be a part of our mini-vacay. The gated back area was so convenient and perfect for our pups. I would recommend getting there during the daylight. The gravel road to the guest house is dark. Overall an amazing stay!

Very quiet, cozy spot just outside of the hustle and bustle. We felt like we were back home in the country! Very lovely property with lots of wildlife to see in the back yard. We will stay again when in the area!

We came into town for a graduation at Liberty University. The house is on a dirt road well off the beaten path (which I love). It was a very beautiful area, very peaceful even with neighbors nearby. We were delighted to find that the host gifted us a 6 pack of Bold Rock Cider, which oddly enough is my favorite cider (I’m gluten free). Everything was clean, with the exception of the inside of the fridge. My kids played their hearts out running around the yard, swinging, roasting marshmallows. My only complaint is the tiny showers, but I’m claustrophobic 😂😂 otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would stay again!

Our first AirBnB experience with the whole family. Have to say hope other hosts can keep up! 😊 Everything was perfect! House was clean, smelled amazing, view was beautiful and surround area was surreal! 💕

Great cottage at the top of the mountain right near Poor Mountain Nature Preserve! Very comfortable and had everything that we needed for the weekend.

This was the perfect rural place for our vacation! We picked it specifically for its many options for entertainment there at the house with local places to hike. In the end, we thoroughly enjoyed the private swimming hole and relaxing to the sound of the creek. The drive to historic sites from the place was beautiful! I was quite impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was, including spices beyond salt and pepper. We were also pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the beds were. We did have a couple of hiccups during our stay, but Scott was very prompt and responsive in going above and beyond our expectations. He deserves 10 stars as a host! I would be very happy to rent from him and Penny again!

My wife and I came to Roseland to compete in the Devils Backbone BBQ Championship which was held at the brewery. The cottage was only a mile from the brewery. It was so relaxing and peaceful to return to the cottage at the end of the day. The cottage is clean, well equipped with everything you need, and very well maintained. Leslie & Mike say they love their cottage and it’s easy to see that. We would absolutely stay there again!! Steve & Kelly

Claudia’s place was spotless! Beautiful views right from the property. Loved the Firepit in the backyard. Dogs had a great time too! Great location with lots to do in the surrounding areas, we followed recommendations in the guide book in the Airbnb, everything was fantastic. We visited Bonfire Burgers & Bourbon in Amherst, Mt Pleasant for a hike, and Ankida Vinyards. We had 4 people and 2 dogs and the space was perfect. Highly recommend!

Me and friends had a wonderful time staying at this place for Roanoke College Alumni weekend. Very close to campus and very clean with plenty of space to go around for everyone. If it is still available next year I would definitely stay again!

Solitude was the perfect spot for our weeklong stay in Lexington for W&L graduation. We felt at home, loved spending time on the back deck, and enjoyed the beautiful sounds of the Maury! I hope to come back!

We were in town for my daughter’s graduation. The home is beautiful and comfortable in a peaceful wooded area. The house is well stocked with everything we needed (towels, dishes, blankets, appliances, etc).

We were here for a graduation at Ferrum College. This place was very well maintained and super cute. Had a tasteful vintage/cozy/throw-back vibe. The large washer/dryer was super helpful after a week on the road. The place was stocked to the nine's but we didn't use anything since we were sure if it was for the family or guests. Internet connection was solid - especially considering we were in the mountains. I also work remotely a lot. Highly recommended and we would totally stay again. Darlene checked in to make sure we had what we needed and also messaged to say bye.

The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful—exactly what we were looking for in a quiet weekend away. We enjoyed the grill and firepit, which were excellent for unwinding in the evenings. Restaurants and a grocery store were just a short drive away, making it easy to get what we needed. The house is old and has a lot of character, but it’s definitely not a luxury stay—more of a rustic, simple farmhouse. Still, it was clean, functional, and comfortable for our needs. The kitchen was well-stocked with essentials, and check-in was seamless. We truly appreciated the quiet and the space, and I’d come back for another peaceful break.
