Adjacent to a large hay field which leads down to a private branch of the Rucker's Run with excellent fishing. The cottage is at the end of a quiet country lane with few nearby houses. The newly renovated home was initially built to house workers from a soapstone quarry located on the property. During the remodel, we even found rationing coupons from 1945 hidden in the walls!

This cabin is off-grid but with solar power lighting and seasonally dependent running water for an outdoor shower and sink nearby.

This cozy and comfortable home is located within the charming Town of Amherst in a quiet neighborhood very close to Sweet Briar College. It is only a short drive from Lynchburg yet is also convenient to other area attractions, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Mt.
