The showers (which is what you’ve actually came to read the reviews for) were top-notch—powerful, hot, and exactly what you need after a long day of exploring. Beyond that, the accommodation exceeded all expectations. It was even more spacious than the photos suggested, set within beautiful grounds that provided plenty of room to unwind. The location was ideal, with easy access to stunning walks and local attractions. Oliver was an outstanding host, always quick to respond and incredibly accommodating with all my messages. His attentiveness made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located getaway in the Peak District!

Lucy’s cottage is stunning! Even more beautiful than the pictures! We had a really lovely time - Youlgreave is a wonderful village with 3 pubs, cafe’s and a little shop, plus being close to other attractions in the Peak District! Fabulous host, brilliant location, beautiful cottage!

Soozey’s bijou apartment is truly delightful. In immaculate condition and well-provided with all that one would need for a short stay. Easy to walk to all the prime places of interest. Soozey communicates quickly, pleasantly and helpfully. Very highly recommended - the host and the apartment!

Really enjoyed our stay at Bridge Cottage. The cottage was nice and roomy. Comfy bed and kitchen well equipped. Easy check in. The village is lovely. Would definitely stay at the cottage again.

Great little cottage which me and my daughter stayed at for 2 nights to break up our drive from Edinburgh to Essex. Clean and tidy. Garden was cute but unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind Tony’s. We did manage to drive to Mam Tor and walk up and then went to Buxton. We did visit the Olive tree too in the village.

We had an amazing stay at Vicky & Alex’s cottage. The house was fantastically equipped and beautifully decorated. Very comfy beds with high quality linens. Perfect for a girly hiking weekend away! Thank you so much - we will be back!

Booked this trip last minute and was not disappointed with our choice, the instructions for parking and how to find the cottage was spot on. Less then a couple minutes walk and you’re at all the coffee shops and pubs with a short drive to other villages and all the famous walks.

Excellent property, fantastic location, great local pub, lovely walks! Jo was an excellent host. The one hiccup was checking in, we didn't have access to the code for the key lock on arrival. The app said contact the 'host', so we did. The problem was, 'Jo' was on her hols too, so not immediately responsive. Jo said this was an issue she had not experienced before, but was able to sort the problem immediately. We couldn't have asked for more than that. Thank you for letting us stay at your home Jo.

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of Castleton! Lots of restaurants/pubs, small convenience shops, and amazing views right on your doorstep. Marieanne was so friendly and always responsive, and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will have to visit again next time we’re in Castleton!

Had an amazing few days walking around all the peaks, with this beautiful place to come back to in the evenings and play some cards and go to the recommended pubs. Really friendly host with lots of good recommendations. Will defo be visiting again! Thank you for a great trip.

Lovely place - very clean and spacious, and the best part was the view of an adorable golden retriever from the bedroom window.

1 Dalebrook View is a thoughtfully furnished and very spacious apartment which immediately feels like home. Very comfortable beds and well designed living spaces with everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. Kate could not be more helpful and gives clear details and instructions for everything you need during your stay. Good dog walks can be taken from the front door and there is a small enclosed green area 2 minutes walk away called The Grove next to the Fish and Chip shop. It is an ideal place to briefly take a dog to at the beginning and each end of the day. We visited The Moon Inn in Stoney Middleton and nearby Calver Arms plus local cafes. All offering good food and drink options, although we found the Eyam cafés to be very expensive, busy, slow on service or closed. Our booking for three nights from Sunday meant we missed out on a few things not being open including the local Toll Bar fish and chips open Wednesday to Saturday. We will just have to return another time!

We were visiting Buxton for 2 shows at the Opera House & the apartment is perfectly placed for this, being just a few minutes walk away, also the Pavilion Gardens and loads of places to eat & drink. Apartment is beautifully furnished and very well-equipped with pretty, sunny little cottage-style garden to front. The main bedroom is lovely, really comfortable bed. Our friend stayed in the basement bedroom and did comment that it was cold BUT he was very warm and comfortable once in bed. Wish we had stayed longer, if only to take advantage of the huge selection of dvds and books 😊. Thankyou, Heather, Kim and Lorna for a really great (too short) stay.

Such a lovely room. I really appreciated the extra touches - some canned drinks and milk in the fridge, some muesli for breakfast, provided shampoo and shower gel. It's a straightforward walk down to the bus stop to get into town. It's also only about £7 Uber to town and the train station (off peak). Any messages or questions were always answered quickly by the lovely Rosie.

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits. She communicated all the way from the moment of our booking to the end of our stay. Location is perfect, snuck away from Dronfield Town, but close enough to walk to the many signposted country walks and local pubs/eateries. Short drive, train or bus to Chesterfield and easy commute to Sheffield. Lots of walkable trains and buses. Easy drive (and public transport available too) to the many scenic attractions in Derbyshire. Walkable Convenience Store and gas station is just a minute away.

We only stayed for two nights for a quick fly through visit, but we were really impressed with the flat. It was clean, tidy and comfy. We loved all the little details Sarah added in, so many recommendations on things to do and she even left us milk and biscuits for when we arrived. Really wonderful spot, great value for money, will be booking again.

The flat was pristine in every respect. Nothing could have been better. When a light bulb blew in the toilet, I messaged Elizabeth and, even though she was away on holiday herself, she immediately came back to me and gave me access to the locked cupboard where I found a new light bulb and replaced it myself. This is an outstanding Airbnb for anyone wanting to explore this lovely town. I give it 11/10. We did notice that the handrail down the outside steps to the property was broken. The steps are steep so, whoever is responsible for maintaining that area should get that fixed. Also we wondered if the wall socket just behind the lounge door was working. My wife tried charging her phone from it and it didn’t seem to charge. Maybe Elizabeth might want to check it. We’ll be back. Well done Elizabeth. You are a professional and thoughtful host. Thanks. a lovely place to stay, perfect for 1 person (though would fit two people). the host very kindly messaged prior to mention they supplied milk, butter + bread, noticed I was vegan and provided alternatives! there was tea + coffee provided, plus lots of seasonings and condiments in the cupboards should you need. comfortable bed, clean + tidy space and perfect for a 3 day trip. would definitely recommend :)

What a great find. Perfect location for peaceful walks with my Dalmatian Daisy. The accommodation is finished to a very high standard with plenty of room and felt secure and safe. Most important to me was that it was dog friendly and it really was. Daisy had her own secure area to play in and this is just so helpful. Hosts are friendly and the info provided to help you to find the place is excellent, also lots of info in the accommodation about the local area. Would definitely recommend and also would love to stay again for a longer break.

Stephanie offers an exceptional Airbnb - it is spacious with all you could need … and more. It is ideally located, just metres from Buxton park and a very short walk into town. Stephanie was considerate and flexible, responding swiftly to any queries we had ahead of our trip. We were delighted and it surpassed with ease any expectations we had. Don’t hesitate to book - you will not be disappointed!

A lovely stay in Wirksworth and so glad that we booked this place!! The décor throughout is lovely and boutique style with a very cosy and homely atmosphere. We stayed here for 4 nights and wished we’d booked for a couple more as there’s plenty to do in the local area. Angus was very responsive and on the first evening sent a message to make sure we had checked-in all okay, which was a nice touch. Only recommendation that I can find is to make sure you take some kitchen roll & surface spray as these little things can easily get forgotten when visiting places as this isn’t supplied. All in all, would love to visit again!

Myself, my husband, our baby and mother in law all stayed here for a long weekend for a wedding in Kelham island. Khateeb was incredibly responsive, accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The weather was particularly hot during our stay, which was a bit of a concern with our baby, and he dropped off a fan to help us cool the apartment down (which was massively appreciated). The flat was very clean and tidy and the sofa bed was set up ready for our arrival. The location was excellent, we recommend The Grind Cafe just across the bar. There was ample parking a short walk away and even though the apartment is in the heart of Kelham island, it wasn’t too noisy throughout the night. Would highly recommend!
