A cosy, rural retreat in upper Nidderdale

JoeRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Lovely building in a peaceful rural setting. It was exactly what we were hoping for. The place and surroundings were more beautiful than portrayed in the pictures. Ashley was a warm and friendly host. The instructions to find the farm were helpful and check-in was easy. My wife and I would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Thanks!

Unique 18thC Yorks Dales Silk Weavers’ mill house.

BillRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Coming from the States, we were looking for a quintessential Yorkshire Dales experience: someplace peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. This place fit the bill perfectly. The house was very comfortable and we especially loved the shower, beds and comforters. It really is self catered so be sure to bring any cooking staples you will need. Beautiful artwork throughout the house, and some great magazines to read on rainy days. We did have an issue on the second to last day we were there - the power went out for no apparent reason. Luckily we were able to isolate the problem circuit and get things partially working again. Claire was very helpful and arranged for showers we could use in the cabins at the main property down the road. All in all, it was a lovely location and we would definitely stay there again.

Rylstone View Cottage

HilaryRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Rylstone is a fantastic property with a huge well-maintained wrap around garden in such a quiet, lovely neighbourhood yet only a few minutes’ walk to Grassington’s shops and eating places. The property was warm and homely, yet everything was pristine, all the rooms were immaculate, the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, with plenty of utensils and cooking equipment, everywhere spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable, the bathrooms top end tiling and fittings, great showers, and a lovely bath in one of them. It has a long driveway with a lovely outdoor seating area as well as a separate couple of seats and small table at the front of the property partially covered. Peter and Dawn were fantastic and responded immediately to any queries before and during our holiday, as well as being pro-active from booking and throughout our week’s holiday. Thanks to the housekeeper, gardener etc. who are doing wonderful jobs, we could not fault anything. I high
