Family-friendly vacation rentals in Thousand Islands

Our group of ladies were excited to stay at SkySuite for a lovely weekend getaway in wine country! Saskia and Maarten have been very welcoming and always communicated with us in a polite and timely manner. SkySuite was presented to us in pristine condition, equipped with all of the amenities and supplies that you could need for a visit! It's a beautiful location in a private setting; we really enjoyed the hot tub under the stars and truly appreciated the accessibility features of SkySuite. The lakefront view from the property is truly unique for an Airbnb location, you will not be disappointed! Plenty of fresh towels, clean linens, and a lot of wonderful perks including a Nespresso machine! Saskia and Maarten were very accommodating and provided too notch hospitality, without any pressure and provided us with the space we all enjoyed. We will be recommending this property to others and would absolutely love to attend this property in the future for our visits to PEC!

A great little hideaway minutes away from town! We enjoyed our time at Rose Cottage and would definitely book again. Lots to do in the area - Bon Echo, Belleville, Prince Edward all less than an hour away - and it was nice to come back to a fully loaded kitchen for dinner and unwind by the campfire. Beds were comfy & clean, and the washroom was spacious and fully stocked with towels for the four of us. The bathrobes were a nice touch! Victoria was very hospitable and accommodating, and was even pretty cool about it when I accidentally broke a campfire rule. Top notch host! We didn't get to try the hot tub so I can't really comment on that, but we otherwise enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back to Tweed. Thanks Victoria!

Carola was very responsive whenever we needed to message her, which wasnt often. Her air b&b had everything we needed for a comfortable stay while we were 4 hours away from home. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and show her passion and pride for her property. There were a couple minor hiccups that were out of anyones control during our stay and she rectified them right away while also keeping us informed, and were not inconvenienced by the hiccups at all. The condition, location and her communication made our stay totally worth it. We rented the hot tub and it was a beautiful treat with the typical May 2/4 weather fluctuating. Carola added in thoughtful comforts hanging at the entrance to make our stay that much more enjoyable, it was thoughtful, sweet and appreciated. This is a must stay at location. We will definitely be back!

We just spent 5 nights at the postmaster's house and we had a wonderful time. Communication with Trevor was easy and everything was as described. The location is fantastic for a vacation, even with our 2 year old son. The environment around the house and the view from the backyard is very calming. We would, without hesitation, stay there again!!!

We stayed at the house for a family long weekend in May 2025. The property was as described and well appointed. A great base to visit the County.

While the pictures and descriptions were accurate, the tree house and surroundings are so much more beautiful in person. Inside and out, the surroundings are whimsical. The relaxing sounds of the river, the endless pockets of nostalgia that adorn the walls inside. Erik and Lisaeanne were absolutely lovely and welcoming. We will certainly be booking a return visit. Our only regret was not staying longer.

We had a great weekend stay! Josh’s place had lots to do and offered a great amount of space for board games and meals! Great location and very close to stores and the downtown core. Would highly reccomend!

We absolutely loved our short stay at Matthew and Natalie's place. It was a beautiful, peaceful environment that really provided a relaxing vacation. Everything in the house was thoughtful and lovely, from the decor to the well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

This is our second stay at the cabin and we had an amazing weekend . The cabin is exactly as described and the water is so clean and clear..Don is always super helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Already planning another weekend :)

Rafael had a beautiful basement apartment, separate entrance and amenities. We appreciated the small touches of breakfast !! & toiletries for what we forgot. Close location to everything we need and family too. The only down side was we had an older and large top-heavy dog who couldn’t manage the stairs (husky malamute). They were advertised but I just didn’t think of it until we struggled, and our younger and smaller dogs were just fine with them.

Such a cozy space that accurately reflected the Air BNB listing! The location was approximately 15 minute away from downtown Picton by car which was a major plus for us. Sally was proactive with her communication with us and always quick to respond to our messages. We arrived late in the evening and there was limited lighting along the long driveway which made it slightly more challenging when we first got there but this wasn't a huge deal. Sally has a large sign with arrows indicating for you to follow to the cabin & where to park your vehicle which was helpful. The cabin was well-furnished and clean. The bed and seating were very comfortable. Mother nature wasn't completely on our side for our weekend getaway as it rained and was slightly too cold for us to make use of the beautiful screened in porch, the fire pit or explore down by the water on the property. The cabin has a nice remote controlled fire place that adds an extra cozy touch. We would definitely recommend!

My husband and I had a really beautiful stay. We’ve been contemplating the idea of going for an outing in Picton for many years and drove through the city a few times going camping to sandbanks. When I saw the advertisement about Aziz’s Airbnb, I was initially a little bit hesitant as there was no reviews and initially booked only for one night but then extended our stay. The place was perfect, as described, Aziz was very responsive and helpful. We had no issue finding the place, it was charming, clean, comfortable, well equipped. I loved the originality of the design inside and outside. We felt really at ease as the place was very private and had a lovely backyard with even a cute small pond. Everything was walking distance and we went for beautiful stroll in the harbour and the Main Street. The Airbnb was about 20 minutes from sandbanks which was perfect with a little stop midway at a mysterious beautiful place I didn’t know before called lake on the mountain. I highly recommend it!

Doris and her husband were the warmest hosts and were very accommodating with our requests. The place is clean, well furnished and spacious and our pup was very happy to be there with us. We would surely return and recommend Doris' place. Thank you for a great time!

we had a wonderful time in the County again despite the rain. we did get to bike, but we went to several wineries and enjoyed some delicious dinners at local restaurants. We have stayed at Trish and Chris's place before. It never disappoints. Denise and Ed

We just returned from a weekend with our extended family at Crossroads of the County. The home is beautiful, extremely clean and has everything you can think of. Kitchen is stocked with utensils and spices making it easy to make your own food there. The location itself is also a quick drive to anywhere you want to go in the area. We loved how kid friendly the location was with toys for the kids, and even plates and cups + playpen and high chair making it a lighter packing trip for us. We would definitely (and hope to!) return again!

Nick's place has a great vibe to it. There are a lot of amenities including kayaks which were a great activity to do. The host communicates very fast. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back!

Very spacious comfortable accommodation. No easy place to go for a walk other than the main road, and driving required for food and drink.

We had the absolute best trip, and Erica’s place played a huge part in that. The property was absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, spotless, and so comfortable. Erica was incredibly responsive and organized from the very start, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. We truly enjoyed every moment in the space and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

This home is stunning ! Full of country cozy charm with some upscale conveniences and an amazing water view. We booked for a girls weekend away and could not have been more pleased. The location was great! Grant was welcoming and easy to communicate with and the home a beautiful. Would highly recommend!

Heather’s house was a fantastic place to spend the weekend in PEC! The house and property were beautiful, spotless and came stocked with any and every amenity you might need. The location was also great as it was private but still close to many wineries. Heather was friendly, informative and responsive and made the entire process easy. We would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a getaway in the county!

Wow, what a gorgeous place!! The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and peaceful the setting is and how unique and interesting the cottage is. We loved everything about it, and we spent hours just sitting on the balcony watching local boat traffic as well as giant tankers and freighters go by. It's an easy walk into Alex Bay and a short drive to Clayton where there's a better selection of restaurants.
