Sitting pretty in a wild flower meadow surrounded by open fields, this barn conversion is countryside simplicity at its best: updated appliances and rustic furniture arranged for open-plan living to relax unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The barn is located in the meadow behind our thatched cottage. The space is entirely your own and is self catered with a well equipped open plan kitchen. We're on hand should you need any advice or assistance during your stay, though you'll have your own privacy and can interact as much or as little as you'd like. Enjoy pastoral tranquility here whilst being within an easy 10-minute reach of the medieval charm of Lavenham. Public footpaths are close by or venture further afield to admire the beautiful Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds. Once you arrive in the barn, there is a small collection of books about the surrounding area and county. We can of course recommend places to visit.

In the pleasant village of Great Waldingfield, with a pub, village shop, and close to Sudbury (3 miles), Lavenham (4 miles), Bury St. Edmunds(16 miles). We live next door so are happy to help with directions and what to do in the area.

To the rear is a terrace - a sheltered spot for breakfast al-fresco. It has a lockable rear entrance for secure cycle and pushchair storage. Free car park 100m away.

Louise was so responsive and the lodge was immaculate. the folder of information about the lodge and the local area and what we can get to and see was so useful. Really enjoyed our week here.

Staying at The Tryst gave us a great experience of staying in comfort at a 500 year old cottage steeped in character and history. The Aga kept us warm for our family meals in the kitchen and cosy evenings in the snug lounge. The two double bedrooms were spacious and all the beds were very comfortable. The garden was beautiful and would be a wonderful outdoor space in the Summer. The Tryst offered us a fantastic location in the heart of the Lavenham for exploring this exceptional village.

We had a really lovely few days at Willow Lodge. It's such a lovely quiet, peaceful and relaxing location. Just what we needed! The lodge is set up perfectly and we really enjoyed an early morning coffee in the garden by the lake , reading in the sun (weather permitting!). We had a great BBQ on the patio on our last night. Our 2 dogs loved going for walks round the fields of Fava beans and Wheat. Georgie was a great host, always responded quickly, but to be honest we didn't really need anything, everything was so well set up.

What a little gem of a property. Good directions and secure parking in the driveway. A lovely welcome from the host - a slice of cake and fresh flowers on the kitchen table too. The cottage is delightful and has everything one could need for a holiday. Very well equipped, and the place was impeccable. The bed was very comfortable and quality duvet and bedding. Powerful shower as well as large bath if a soak is required after a long day of walking or cycling. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely revisit. Many thanks, Jo. Neill & Julie
