The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

Grooms Cottage by Sheriff Hutton Castle, Near York

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

The 'Hippie Shack' is a modern Shepherd’s Hut with a private wood-fired hot tub and garden, set in the countryside next to peaceful woodland but only 20 mins from York. Surrounded by local wildlife and our goats, it’s a relaxing escape to reconnect with nature. Explore scenic walks, or visit nearby town Easingwold's pubs, shops, and dining. Discover hidden Yorkshire gems like Yearsley Woods just 10 mins away. Enjoy the site tipi, pond, and barn areas. Unwind, disconnect and get back to nature.

Shepherd's Hut set in castle ruins.

In the rural village of Sheriff Hutton, located just 20 minutes north of York and less than 1 hr from beach. Free parking. Your shepherd's hut is set in the enclosed, inner courtyard of the C14th castle ruins, your own private space. Atmospheric and perfect for relaxing, enjoying a quiet drink in the evening in front of the fire pit & gazing at a starry sky or the impressive ruins. We have 3 other stays, for couples, around the castle available if you would like to visit with friends. No WiFi.

The Garden Room

Two renovated old buildings have been converted into a quiet, one bedroom, self contained Garden room. In the centre of Slingsby village, you are well placed to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of Yorkshire. A modern kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker is equipped for preparing delicious meals. A wall mounted television with Netflix is available. The sleeping area hosts a double bed with wall hanging for clothes, adjacent to which is a bright shower room with heated towel rail.

The Pigsty- Haxby Road Farm

The Pigsty was part of Haxby Road Farm buildings which were renovated in 2022 / 2023 to create a rustic holiday cottage. The cottage is; 2 .5 miles to York city center, close to bridle paths and footpaths (200m). There is a bus stop approx 400m from the cottage which goes directly to York. Walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shops. 5 minutes drive to 2 cinemas, leisure parks and retail units. This is the perfect location to explore York, the local area or enjoy a night out.

A beautiful and relaxing location, Rosie Loft, is in the heart of the Howardian Hills, one mile from the nearest pub and artisan bakery / café, Castle Howard is 2 miles away by road. It really is the perfect place to explore the rolling hills and big skies in this very special area of North Yorkshire, either by foot, cycle or car. York is 12 miles away, the Yorkshire Cost and the North York Moors can be accessed in less than an hour. Sleeps up to 4 guests + 1 well behaved dog.
