The Cottage on the Green

The Cottage is situated on the backside of an acre parcel behind the main house. A swimming pool separates the main house from the cottage. The property is very quiet, peaceful and private. Guest have a Separate entrance. We are a retired lieutenant from a California LE agency and his wife a retired teacher who give guests as much privacy as requested. We are a short distance from the Longleaf Trace and 1.5 miles from the Barn at Bridlewood wedding venue for those attending a wedding there.

We were born and raised in the area,and it has always been a dream of ours to open a bed and breakfast on the old homestead property. We shared many cherished memories here, and it is our hope that our guest will be able to create their own during their stay. Hough Hill is furnished with family heirlooms that have been passed down through many generations. The opportunity to rebuild this place to share with our guests has been a gift from God, and we truly hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Take it easy at this brand new charming home with 2-BR with 2 queen beds and a twin size pull out couch. The charming decor and cozy atmosphere make guests feel right at home. Located in a country setting but still within minutes of downtown Meridian and other shopping. Meridian Regional Airport is only 12 minutes away and Meridian Jaycee Soccer Complex is only 7 minutes away. Deer Run has many amenities for your convenience. Located 1.8 miles off the blacktop, this getaway allows you to reconnect with nature & re-energize for the daily grind.

Enjoy easy access to popular shops and restaurants inLaurel from this cozy cottage. Our home was featured on HGTV’s HomeTown. While we live in the main house, we had Katie (contractor on show) remodel the two rooms behind us as guest rooms. We have added carvings to the landscape, a whole house generator, and a few places to sit and enjoy the outside. Our episode was called Woodland Wonderland, but better known as the Hobbit House. Sweet Olive Cabin Morton, MS

The 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin has an open floor plan in the den and kitchen, a queen size bed in the master bedroom and twin beds in the second bedroom, with a roll-away daybed available. A pack n play is available upon request. The bathroom is handicapped accessible. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, full size refrigerator and microwave. There is no dishwasher. There is a flat screen tv in both the den and the master bedroom with Directv. We have WIFI available.

The Cottage is the entire first floor of the Carriage House that is original to the property with all the lovely historic charm. Recently renovated, you’ll rest easy with all the modern day conveniences . Thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each checkout. The perfect getaway for anyone wanting to experience downtown and HGTV’s Home Town!

Find your love off the beaten path at our cozy, family home that is set in the country about 15 minutes outside of Laurel and about 20-30 minutes from Hattiesburg. It is a dear home that has been in our family for many years. Our home is ideal if you like the peace and tranquillity of the country. There is a huge backyard and a back porch (with a grill) to sit out and enjoy each other's company and watch beautiful sunsets.
