Newly converted hilltop Chapel

RachelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We’ve just come back from a lovely long weekend staying in Gina’s beautiful converted chapel. The property is very tastefully designed and felt very much like a suite in a luxury country hotel. There are stunning walks and rolling countryside from the doorstep and Berwick St John is a very pretty little village. It was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend with our dog and truly felt like a home from home that we hope to return to again.

40 Winks - self contained annex

RuthRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I booked a place on a heritage textiles course at the Ancient Technology Centre. My husband wasn't attending the course, so we couldn't stay in the communal space. Sharne's self-contained annex was absolutely perfect. We stayed for three nights. The is kitchen well-equipped and the bed very comfortable. Sharne had kindly left a bottle of milk in the fridge for us (we actually brought our own) and some very delicious biscuits. The toilet/shower room is small, but perfectly adequate and was spotlessly clean. Sharne and family were away for the weekend, so unfortunately we didn't meet. Maybe next time. :-) On the first night, we enjoyed an excellent meal in the Sheaf of Arrows, which is a five-minute walk away.

Beautiful eco lodge with stunning rural views

We had a wonderful stay in the eco-lodge. The view, from both inside the lodge and from the garden, is superb. Nicely furnished, very clean. Bridget was a very helpful host. Lots of lovely walks in the area and Shaftesbury is a beautiful town. We will definitely return.

Merlewood Cottage, quiet Dorset retreat

HuwRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely gorgeous character cottage with lovely bedrooms in a peaceful, secluded location. Greg & Johanna couldn’t have been more friendly and we cooked lots of meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Was a safe place for the two-year-old we had with us as the garden is fully enclosed and there is a curtain that can be drawn across the foot of the stairs. Would definitely come again!
