Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Sustjepan

We had the most lovely stay at Gjivo's, in great part due to our host's exemplary graciousness and helpfulness. We felt totally comfortable in his beautiful home..... the breakfasts he served us were delicious, our room was well appointed, the mattress and linens comfy, and the bathroom immaculate with great water pressure. Best of all, the gorgeous view from our window of the ocean and the old fort. Also, we appreciated how close we were to the old town, dining, shopping, easy access to tours and transportation. Gjivo and his staff were absolutely wonderful in every way. We really felt that this place sets a high example of how the best accommodations should be. The property was so authentic and reminds you of the true beauty and history of Dubrovnik. The setting is peaceful with access to lovely private gardens with a view down towards the water and Pile Gate. It’s so conveniently located for a quick stroll in minutes right through Pile Gate into the Old City. After a full day exploring Dubrovnik, it’s so nice to retreat to this quiet, safe, clean, well maintained and peaceful spot. Gjivo is a humble gentleman yet has vast knowledge of the Croatian culture and will generously share valuable insights for a rewarding stay. Gjivo’s family represent true local Croatian culture at its finest while offering a 5 star experience in every way! We plan on returning to Dubrovnik soon and have already rebooked with Gjivo. Bravo to Gjivo, Marina and the entire staff!

This was a truly exceptional experience. Not only was this great value for money, the location could have not been better. The service was second to none and the hospitality of the family who run the guest house was incredible. The food was outstanding - you get the option of breakfast, half board or full board. You'll be served freshly cooked meals throughout the day on a terrace overlooking the sea. This was incredible and words don't do justice - you need to see for yourself. The place is rather remote, so you need to have access to a car to get to the closest town (Slano) where you'll find a little supermarket and buses going to Dubrovnik which is only 33km away. As I don't drive, the family was nice enough to drive me into Slano a couple of times to get buses from there to a tour I signed up for. They even gave me a lift to Dubrovnik which was just great and I am so grateful for their hospitality. I can't recommend this place enough - I will sure be back next year. Thank you all for making this stay something very special.

We’ve had a wonderful time. The apartment is just close to the ocean located. From the terrace you will have a wonderful view. The room is well equipped and the host was always available to help or answer questions.

I had a fantastic stay at these apartments! Check-in was a breeze, and the place was stunningly beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, and it was so convenient to just walk down to the beach. The pool was wonderful and added to the overall experience. The only slight downside was the presence of mosquitoes in the apartment, but the repellent worked well to manage this issue. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

Een toplocatie! Een mooi appartement op een prachtige locatie vlakbij Dubrovnik. De kamer is boven een restaurant aan een baai met kraakhelder blauw water. Het appartement was brandschoon en netjes, geen smetje te bekennen! De bedden lagen goed, we hebben heerlijk geslapen. De ontvangst door Ivan was prettig, hij is erg vriendelijk en wilde ons met alles helpen. We waren blij met het babybed, zodat onze dochter ook lekker kon slapen. Het ontbijt is in het restaurant onder het appartement met uitzicht op de baai. Een pluspunt! Het is wel aan te raden om met een (huur)auto of een taxi te komen. Uber werkt goed tussen Dubrovnik en het appartement. We hebben een prettig verblijf gehad en zouden zeker weer boeken.

It is not a single room, it is an independent room with kitchen and bathroom. much better as it is shown in the photos. Ivana was very nice and she can speak Spanish.

Toller Ausblick auf den See, tolles frühstück in sehr atmosphärischer Umgebung (unter Bäumen Heinen direkt am Wasser), hier war Ivan nicht schrecklich, sondern spitze (der Besitzer heißt Ivan und war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit). jederzeit wieder!

We had a very nice stay. The apartment was big and had everything we needed. When we had questions they immediately helped us out. Breakfast was included, however this was no buffet, it was simple but with chocolate croissants and an egg. So it was a nice extra! Bus stop was a short walk and took us to the center of Dubrovnik in around 30min.

Wir hatten einen superschönen Aufenthalt in der Villa Carmen. Die Lage ist wirklich sehr schön, der erste Strand liegt direkt unterhalb der Unterkunft, weitere Strände sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch am hauseigenen Pool lässt es sich sehr gut entspannen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr bemüht und freundlich und jederzeit zu einem persönlichen Gespräch bereit und hat uns wertvolle Informationen über die Umgebung gegeben. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Excellent place,everything was perfect

After a last minute booking, Nina was wonderful. She was very accommodating and helpful and made sure all our needs were met. The room was as pictured and the amenities were nice. Easy check in and check out. We would absolutely stay here again. 5 stars

A perfect little Airbnb for a short stay. Was really pretty and clean and felt safe as a solo traveller. The only thing I will say is that the description says 7-8 minute walk to old town however I’d say it was more like 13-15 minute walk with a lot of steps, in the heat it was extremely tiring. Overall great stay though and Domagoj was a great host.

Andrea & Mislav zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. appartement was schoon, zeer netjes en stijlvol ingericht. parkeren was even lastig maar Mislav reed keurig mee om uit te leggen waar dat was. (achter de accommodatie onder een carpoort). zoek je een mooi appartement vlakbij strand en centraal gelegen dan zou ik niet twijfelen.

Nous avons été tres bien acquillis dans cette maison, la prise en charge remarquable, la vue panoramique depuis notre chambre très bien agencée, les propriétaires attentionnés. Je recommande vivement.

This place was fantastic. We booked this last minute and thrilled we did. The apartment was absolutely spotless, it was like it was finished yesterday. The hosts were brilliant, recommended places to eat and provided a map of where we needed to go to for our nighttime activity. The mini fridge had a couple of drinks in that were loaded free of charge which was a very nice touch as in hotels this is a different story. Bed was absolute heaven, extremely comfy and felt right at home. Was gutted we couldn’t do more nights here. I could not recommend this apartment enough. Perfect in every aspect.
