Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sussex County

This property is large and roomy with plenty beds to go around including the basement with the pool and ping pong tables plus a home gym with various equipments. The outdoors were fantastic with a very nice temperature controlled pool, Jacuzzi, swings set for the little ones and enough acreage to have a soccer match. The neighborhood was nice and quiet in a great country setting with lots of wildlife to enjoy to include lots of singing birds. Our family reunion was a great success due in part to the before mentioned surroundings. Douglas was always available to resolve minor issues, very responsive and accommodating, thanks for making our stay at this property a great one.

This is by far the best AirBnb I have ever stayed at! Elizabeth is a fabulous host and was unbelievably attentive and accommodating. The house is beautiful on a large plot of land with plenty of nature and breathtaking sites. The house was warm, inviting, and decorated beautifully. If you need a get away from the city, this is your place. I 100% will be coming by again.

We loved staying at this beautiful home in the woods. We have a family of five and my mother in law was with us, yet we had plenty of space and the yard was great for the kids to run around in. Despite the woodsy surroundings, restaurants and grocery were close by and we were only about 15-20 minutes from Legoland. Overall just a lovely in what is obviously a well loved and well taken care of house.

Great hosts! Responsive, helpful, and kind. My family had a great weekend over Memorial Day. The weather was on the cold and rainy side for this time of year but the basement had all the kids fully entertained! I highly recommend their place for families. We had a few ping pong championships along with PAC Man last man standing tournaments. The location for local hikes and neighborhood amenities is perfect.

Our group, just fyi: 9 adults and 1 crawling infant. Two adults are senior citizens who don't handle stairs well, so we planned to stay in, play games, cook our meals, and just enjoy family time. This BNB was perfect for that. Once they took the stairs to get inside, they were very comfortable on the first floor where most of our activity was. The baby gate, high chair, and portable crib were so appreciated.

The view of the lake, and the large covered porch were fantastic! Even on a rainy day we all enjoyed hanging out. The place was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. As other reviewers have mentioned, the many steep stairs to access the house are definitely a consideration before renting. They would be a real challenge if you had mobility issues. You have to unload/load your car at street level and use the stairs. But a lovely house for a large group!

If you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing weekend in a great house, this is it!! House is very roomy with very comfortable bedrooms, lots of hang out spaces, fully stocked kitchen and plenty of linen and towels. Kitchen has everything you need. The hot tub was extra fun. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Loved sitting down by the dock on the Adirondack chairs watching the peaceful lake. Most importantly, the hosts were incredibly nice, helpful and provided great recommendations and regular check ins. We loved our stay!

Perfect fit! We will definitely use your property anytime we are in the area! We travel to NJ state fairgrounds twice a year for cattle shows and area hotels are mediocre at best! About 25 minutes from the grounds and once we knew where we were going very easy! We had some confusion on arrival going to the wrong gate (but it was 10pm and we were exhausted 😴) but the night guard was very helpful! We really only slept there but would definitely like to return for some spa treatments 😉! A microwave would be a great addition, otherwise perfect!!!

Jenny was an amazing host and her husband Wesley was the cherry on top. Incredibly helpful and hospitable. They even invited me to have thanksgiving dinner with them! So cozy, it feels like a home that’s lived in, not a hotel or a commercial space. It’s a warm and loving HOME.

This rental was perfect for our needs for 2 nights. Comfortable bed, blackout curtains, quiet spot during the off season. Everything was as described or better. It was rainy and cold so we didn’t use the outdoor pool. Underground parking was nice given the rainy weather. Fitness center was well equipped. I would stay here again if we were in the area. Husband is hiking the Appalachian Trail and this was a good meeting spot close to several trail crossings.

Out stay at Nicole’s was perfect for our Spartan race weekend. Beautiful grounds and a beautiful place. We had a great time.

At Thanksgiving we like to be at an Airbnb instead of an hotel while visiting family in the area. Roseanne's place was perfect for three of us. The condo was very comfortable, clean and a private place to be altho we didn't spend a lot of time there. The beds were comfortable and there is a lovely view. We would stay there again.

While having a vibe similar to the overlook hotel from the Shining, the place was amazing. Beautiful views and felt super cozy. Would recommend a stay here to anyone!

Great, well-equipped condo close to plenty of activities. Michael was super responsive and made check in a breeze.

The place was great and just as pictured/described. Joann gave great instructions and was very responsive. We were only there for a short stay for a race, but it looked like a great area I would’ve loved to explore if we had more time. The only thing I didn’t care for was the requirement for to wash and dry all towels before leaving. Since I already paid a hefty cleaning fee that seemed like a bit much. And the washer/dryer is small so this took a couple of loads to get done.

A perfect spot to stay for this location! The space is inviting and immerses you in nature with the window covered living space. We would definitely recommend!

Little getaway was wonderful. There was warmth as soon as we walked in, and that comfort lasted throughout our whole stay at the house. Diana was accommodating and available with any situations we had. We will definitely be coming back.
