Our stay was utterly peaceful. Mountain ranges hem you in from the East and the West. Aside from the comfortable and clean accommodation, with all the amenities to comfortably tale care of oneself, the garden is full of ancient and still growing trees brimming with birds to soothe your soul. The hosts are kind and curious, without being at all imposing. I can highly recommend this spot for anyone who would like to rekindle their relationship with tranquility and authenticity.

What a lovely stay in the bush. Quiet, isolated and relaxing, just what we were looking for. Rob is also a great host. We felt right at home. The clean, spacious and comfortable accommodation was lovely, but what we particularly enjoyed was the abundance of well kept dirt roads crisscrossing the farm - they made for excellent trail running while spotting numerous buck and birds. We would highly recommend a weekend at Copper Moon.

Niles and Will were such great hosts, very respectful of privacy and came to our aid immediately if we needed something and were very quick to respond. We were given some great information with much enthusiasm regarding things to do in the area and walks we could enjoy around the farm. We booked the Sunbird Cottage and it was perfect, very peaceful, wide open views; it had everything we needed. Drove there in my little Sedan and had no major issues with the dirt road. Was quite happy popping in and out to explore Graaff-Reinet, the Valley of Desolation & Nieu Bethesda. 10/10 would stay again. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.

Vredefontein is a piece of paradise! Secluded, private, quiet and gorgeous surroundings. We took long walks in the veld and had a great swim in the river. The house is well equipped. We relaxed from the moment we walked in - will definitely be back!

We had the most incredible experience at Claire’s Airbnb! We hosted a baby shower here, and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the setting with all the amazing animals made it truly special. From the moment we arrived, the staff was beyond accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we felt welcome. The animals were a huge highlight! They added such a unique and magical touch to our celebration—everyone, from kids to adults, was in awe of them. It was such a joy to be surrounded by such a peaceful and beautiful environment. We absolutely loved our stay, it was exactly what we needed. It felt like home! All the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. Our host was an absolute GEM! We enjoyed our drive through new and beautiful terrain, which is why I booked there, and the gravel roads were markedly well kept and suitable for most vehicles.

There are many places listed as farm-stays, however Thea’s space is the real deal. We were spoilt with a home style “boere kos” wholesome meal, and after a late arrival with no previous arrangements. Thea and Grant are truly welcoming hosts and to be honest we arrived as complete strangers but were immediately welcomed with real South African farm hospitality and left feeling like we were childhood friends. Loved our stay and will most definitely be back.

Vrijheid Farmhouse is a paradise situated in great landscape next to the Amakhala Game Reserve which keeps you observing the vicinity all day.

We were only there one night, the night before our stay at Addo National Park. Keith and Nondumiso welcomed us very kindly and we received a tour of the organic citrus plantation that we found really interesting! Keith also had tips on good times and places in the national park which we found very pleasant. Rooms are big and equipped with all the essentials. Recommendation!

What a great place! Felt right at home, our kids played with their kids and made them feel comfortable. The hosts are a wonderful couple, made us feel very comfortable and relaxed.

My family spent a few days at Fairview and we loved every minute of it. Mandy and Guy were very helpful and responsive and we were made to feel completely at home. We would highly recommend Fairview to travellers who would like to experience this beautiful part of the Eastern Cape.

We spent three nights at Roger’s place. We used it as a base to visit Addo Elephant Park, which we hugely enjoyed. Roger’s place is a 15 minute drive from the main gate. The little unit was fine for our needs - quiet and clean and comfortable. Roger was available at all times to deal with questions. He quickly sorted out a minor concern to our satisfaction and was a great source of information about the area. The location is a working citrus farm and was very interesting be a part of. We enjoyed our time at the Addo White House and would come back again.

Staying in this charming farmhouse felt like a journey back in time. The farmhouse is surrounded by unspoiled nature. However, it's worth noting that there are limited dining options in the vicinity, and the nearest shop is quite a distance away, so make sure you have everything you'll need with you. There was an option provided by the hosts for a hearty breakfast and dinner, with the unique twist of grilling your own meat over an open fire. Jenifer also booked a very nice game drive for us. Just ask her about the options. We did encounter a bit of bad luck with heavy rain during our visit, which made our journey to the farmhouse a small adventure, especially considering our mode of transportation was a bus. In winter, a 4x4 vehicle is probably a wise choice for the journey. Despite the challenges, our stay in this farmhouse was an unforgettable experience, and I'd highly recommend it to those seeking a rustic retreat into the past.

Addo is a beautiful place and Addo White House matched the description. Located on a small farm, quiet, safe and peaceful. The dogs are very friendly. Roger was a exceptional host. He provided tea/coffee/sugar/milk. Even offered to have our laundry done! Gave us some good restaurant suggestions - please try Africanos, thoroughly enjoyed the meals. Close to Addo Elephant Park. I forgot an item in the room and Roger was so kind to courier to our home in Durban - thank you Roger! MTN reception was very good, we watched the WC Final on our cellphone during load shedding.

It was such a pleasant surprise arriving at Thomas accommodation and having this beautiful old Karoo farmhouse in a secluded, quiet area all to myself! A bonus was the use of a fully equipped kitchen and the air-conditioner in the room was a life-saver in the summer heat. I have no hesitation in giving this BnB 5 stars! There were six double rooms in the house and I was thinking it would be lovely to stay there with a group of friends one day.

Truly an amazing venue. Set in nature. Just the most amazing way to rejuvenate one's soul. Beyond a 5 star experience with amazing hosts. You won't be sorry picking this spot for your next getaway.

An absolute delight! Loved staying here!!! Highly recommended! The well-equipped and immaculately clean house instantly felt like home, providing a comfortable retreat surrounded by breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. Looking forward to my next visit! Host is amazing!
