Surrounded by wonderful hiking opportunities, it is also the starting point for numerous tourist highlights in the green heart of Germany.

With a successful combination of rustic flair and modern comfort, we offer you the perfect retreat here for relaxing days and nights. The Thuringian Forest is known for its unspoilt nature, its numerous hiking and cycling trails and its rich cultural history. The house is located in the idyllic climatic health resort of Friedrichroda in the Thuringian Forest!

Old forge

Welcome to our 130-year-old half-timbered house at the foot of the Wartburg! Once used as a smithy, it now offers a family-friendly vacation rental with a full range of amenities. It is centrally located in Eisenach, with short distances to the city center, shopping options, tourist attractions, and the unique natural beauty of the Thuringian Forest! Our children's room is located directly above the vacation rental. We do our best, but some noise may still be audible.

Vacation home “Gina” on the edge of the forest

The idyllically located vacation home with a size of about 50 m² has a living room with open kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with space for 4 people and a dining area. The cottage is located in the climatic health resort of Finsterbergen directly on the edge of the forest in a small bungalow settlement. Because of its location it provides an ideal starting point for hikes (Rennsteig). The leisure pool with mini golf and volleyball and a tennis court are about 200 m away.

ALL-INCLUSIVE GUEST CARD free Do you need more space on vacation and want to take the whole family with you? No problem, because we offer a spacious holiday home with 87 square meters and space for up to 6 people. Each bedroom can accommodate 2 people (1 double bed and 2 single beds). The pull-out sofa bed in the living room offers 2 additional sleeping places. A crib, high chair and potty are also provided for toddlers. The toilet is separate from the bathroom.

The house is modernly decorated and the garden offers plenty of space to spread out. In the winter months, it is perfect for winter sports in and around Oberhof. In the rest of the year, it is great for hiking, cycling and sightseeing in and around the Thuringian Forest and much more. The sauna and hot tub require preparation. If you want to use them, please let us know after booking. Furthermore, we have a pool that you can use in summer by arrangement.

Guest house on the Schleusehof... enjoy nature!

Our guest house (about 89 m) is located on our mini-farm, which we run as a hobby. The Schleusehof is idyllically located on a small river, where you can cool your feet on hot days. The house sleeps 4 people (2 adults + 2 children). On request, we also have a baby cot for the little ones. The farm offers space to romp and relax. Beautiful Suhl in the green heart of Germany on the southwestern slope of the Thuringian Forest. Your relaxing accommodation is a 10-minute walk from the center. Our apartment is located in quiet forest surroundings but within walking distance to Sonneberg town centre. It is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers, with hundreds of kilometres of trails leading into the Thuringian Forest national park from our front door.
