Stable Cottage is situated in a secluded, peaceful 4 acre private woodland, just outside the picturesque village of Garve on the North 500 Route. An ideal spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with beautiful walks and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The Cottage was once used as the horse stables that served the local estate. It has been tastefully renovated to ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Sealladh Dubh

Sealladh Dubh sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth, there's fishing - permit required - on the doorstep,beautiful views over the Black Isle. Dingwall town centre is a 10 minute walk - aprox 1/2 mile - with many cafes, restaurants, hotels, and pubs. The North Coast 500 route also passes through Dingwall. Hill walking and nature trails are also easily accessible or if it's beaches you're after, there's an abundance. We supply tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, bread, water and butter.

Although secluded, the cottage is close to the charming victorian spa town of Strathpeffer and the market town of Dingwall. The picturesque fishing town of Ullapool and Ben Wyvis, one of the easier Munros, are both a short drive away. There are many wonderful walks, cycle tracks and fishing lochs close by.

The cottage lies in secluded woodland accessing wonderful walks around Loch Ussie and views of magnificent Ben Wyvis. Downstairs the cosy cottage has a super kingsize master bed with ensuite and a modern kitchen with induction hob. The original byre extension has been converted into a fantastic living room with high coombed ceiling and a woodburning stove. Upstairs there is a double room, a twin room and a second bathroom. All rooms are beautifully warmed by underfloor heating.

The Cottage was originally a doctors surgery in the early 1900's, then In the mid century was a tea room. Since that time it has been a private home. The perfect place to stay whilst exploring the highlands or driving some of the NC500.
