Guest apartment next to the lake Mälaren

The guest apartment is on top of our double garage. The place is about 40 sqm, and the ceiling is quite low at some places (please check the photos). We live in a house about 50 meters in front of the apartment. From the apartment you reach (by foot) the train station in 3 minutes, the city center in 10 minutes and the dome church in 5 minutes. We have bikes, skate ramp, SUP and other things if you wish to borrow :) Towels and bed sheets are included.

Relax with friends or family in a lakeside cottage with access to sauna. There is a comfortable bedroom, a kitchen and living room in one with two sofas that are converted into single beds in the evening, as well as a toilet with sink. There is an outdoor shower with water from the lake. The studio is only 5 min by car from Läggesta train station where you can catch a train to Stockholm in 40 min. Mariefred is located 4 km from the house.

The house is from early 1800's and well kept in it's charm. During the summer guests have access to a patio in the garden. Welcome to our carefully renovated house from the 17th century! Here, you live next door to Strängnäs Cathedral and have the city center nearby. Our charming house also has an exciting history to tell. The house has had the privilege of being featured in the popular history and building care program on TV, SVT “It sits in the walls”. Of course, cleaning, bed linens, towels as well as coffee and tea are included.

With less than 2 km to Taxinge Castle, there are good opportunities to experience the “cake castle” through a walk or short drive. Great starting point for traveling around and discovering the nature of Södermanland, but also Storstockholm.

We are far from the big city, but still only 1 hour from Stockholm, with nice views of Lake Mälaren and the opportunity to sit on our dock in the sunset. Our guest house is about 45 sqm with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom (180cm bed) as well as a small living room with sofa bed (140cm). The guesthouse is built together with the main building and has its own deck.

Cabin in the countryside.

Small cottage in the countryside. Private porch with grill and outdoor furniture. Close to nature, fishing hiking, canoeing, bike and culture leads. Mariefred with Gripsholm Castle and Strängnäs with the Cathedral from the 1200s is within 1 mile radius. The cabin has modern standards, but not an oven. On the main building there is a big dog, kind but loud.
