The Fred Meijer trail provides great biking or hiking opportunities. Lazy float tubing or kayaking down the flat river is very popular and only a short walk away. Horse back riding, golf courses, and an amazing local bakery all within a couple miles. And a fun sport court (basketball hoop, volleyball/badminton/pickelball net all right on site!

Just a short walk from the water (2 min, NOT lakefront, side street). Crystal lake is 5.3 miles. There is an access site you can anchor a boat at for the day (anchor, no dock or land, but you can anchor in the water and walk back to the cottage), the beach is 1/2 mile away, and raceway is 1 mile away. Lg. double lot sometimes has guests in a camper on the 2ND lot and a shared firepit. If you have a ranger or golf cart with orv stickers they are legal.

Carrie was an amazing host, very responsive and accommodating since I asked to extend my trip. The space was very clean and I really enjoyed my time there! Thanks to Nate and Austin for taking on stewardship of this place and letting us all experience it and being excellent hosts. Bigger and more extravagant houses can't match how a thoughtfully designed simple space can make you feel. There's a lot of information about the history of the house to peruse and the artwork from the original owners is a great connection to the past. It was a great stay at an important place in Wright's career.
