Would fully recommend staying at Helen's place. The accomodation is really spacious and has everything you need, and is a good base for the local area. Helen is really responsive and is a great host.

Enjoyed a lovely family weekend here, close to the Northern Lakes. Communication with Clare was very prompt and friendly and the suite was excellent for the toddler of the group with high chair, travel cot, toys all provided. The teas, bread, marmalade etc was a nice touch, ensuring a breakfast or snack could be had in advance of food shopping. And we all found the beds very comfy! In lieu of a sink in the kitchenette, we actually quite enjoyed being able to just leave our dishes on the trolley outside, knowing they would be washed extremely promptly. All in all, a lovely and comfortable base for our stay with a very attentive host.

Would recommend Black Mesa without hesitation. Great location. Beautiful scenery. Everything as listed. Lovely pub (Kings Arms) 2 minutes walk. Met the hosts who were very friendly

Lovely cottage, very spacious. 10 minute drive to Pooley Bridge. Great bus service to Keswick, with the bus stop close to the house. Good pub 5 minutes walk away. Good location for the Lakes. Very friendly hosts, always on hand to assist with anything!
