Jack's Cottage, Curbar

SophieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We spent 3 nights at Jack’s cottage and it was absolutely perfect for some much needed downtime. Fantastic location, beautiful cosy cottage, the hot tub was a brilliant feature and Matthew was on hand for any questions. The house is spotless, quirky with pops of pink, has available parking and a lovely quiet private garden. The location is fantastic for curbar edge, froggatt and trips to Bakewell and surrounding areas. We decided we’d look to book again before we’d even stayed the first night! Highly recommend this little gem in lovely Derbyshire.

Luxury Peak District Cottage with Hot Tub

JulieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We have just returned from a stay at The Stables. We both loved the accommodation and the location. The hosts made us feel very welcome and there was some lovely touches inside for when we arrived. The location is very peaceful and tucked away but also within walking distance of several pubs all serving good quality food for reasonable prices. We would recommend and come back again without question.

Peaceful cottage in Parwich village with hot tub

SophieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

SimonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Parson’s Barn. The village is small but with shops/ pubs/ eating to supply your needs. There is great walking from Hartington itself, we found the river walk from behind the nearby farm shop particularly pretty. The house is a perfect base, well located, and fitted with anything you might require. Phil the host is available if needed but for us everything was spot on.. We would recommend The Royal Oak at Hurdlow, ten minutes away by car, for terrific pub food.

Quiet 2 bedroom cottage, with off street parking.

AnnaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The cottage was absolutely perfect for our one night stay as a family of 3. Leilani’s directions were clear and helpful, and check in was easy. The cottage was exceptionally clean and smelt lovely! Each room was beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings and lots of light. The blackout blinds on the bedroom skylights are a wonderful addition. Leilani was kind to point out that we could go for a wander down the path and say hello to the hens and horses, which my son loved, and the views are gorgeous. Definitely recommend for a peaceful stay. Thanks for having us!

Holmfirth cottage with amazing view, dog friendly

KimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The cottage is tucked away on a quiet lane with stunning views over the Holmfirth countryside. You can really tell that Tracey has poured so much love and care into the space, as the cottage is full of charm and thoughtful personal touches that make it feel like a home from home. Tracey has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay, from a generous selection of toiletries and kitchen essentials to dog bowls, treats, towels, and even spare duvets in both lightweight and heavier options. There were also hot water bottles, tea, coffee, milk, and snacks waiting for us on arrival, which was such a lovely touch. Communication with Tracey was excellent, she was proactive, helpful, and incredibly responsive, which made planning and arriving stress-free. The cottage is very dog-friendly, with plenty of walks nearby, and Holmfirth town centre is just a 10-minute walk away. I’d absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Yorkshire getaway.

The adventure begins at The Old Stable

SuzanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Well, what can I say.. My friend and I were lucky enough to stay for four nights at The Old Stable with our dogs. In truth, it really did surpass our expectations in every way. The Stable was absolutely immaculate upon our arrival, with some much appreciated little extras and vases of fresh meadow flowers adorning the rooms. Each room is beautifully presented, with crisp white bed linen, cosy throws and cushions in the bedrooms. The kitchen is fantastic, allowing us to comfortably self cater for all four days without the need to go shopping. The lounge (conservatory) was super comfortable and perfect for lounging and chatting, with the sound of the babbling river adding the most tranquil of sound effects. The TV allowed us to log into our Netflix/Prime accounts etc. However, it was the peace and quiet and total relaxation that we appreciated more than anything. Kate and James were fab hosts doing everything to ensure we had a wonderful stay, which we did! We shall definitely be back!

Beautiful Cottage In Rural Peak District Village

PippaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at Sparrow Cottage to visit my daughter who lives in a village nearby. Becky was very accommodating and kept in touch with us before and whilst we were there which was very nice. We found the cottage to be very clean and inviting, spacious and cosy. We had a very comfortable stay and was greeted with some cake, eggs and milk which was most welcome. The internet wasn’t great but not a major issue. The cottage is on a busy road and can be noisy at times although didn’t impact our stay . All in all we really enjoyed our time at Sparrow Cottage. Thankyou Becky! Xx

Great spot in a lovely village. This was a great base for our weekend in the area as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The house was much bigger than I thought it would be based on the photos! There would be plenty of room if there were 6 people staying. Great kitchen with all the pans, crockery etc needed. Nice view out the back, there is a shared yard with a picnic bench you can use. There is a great park just a short walk from the house which our children enjoyed. Beds very comfortable. Would stay again.

Rocking Stone Cottage - Idyllic Rural Retreat

EdwardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Rocking Stone Cottage near Bakewell. The location was ideal and just a short drive to places like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, and right on the doorstep of the Peak District countryside. The cottage itself was beautifully kept, warm and welcoming, with spacious rooms and generous en-suites. It felt like a real home away from home. Rachael and Gerry were fantastic hosts. Rachael sent through lots of helpful information ahead of our visit, and every one of her recommendations hit the mark. One of the best things about Rocking Stone Cottage was how quickly we could get out into nature. Within minutes of leaving the front door, we were walking through open fields with sheep and cows, and could stroll from one village to the next across the peaks. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the cottage and the hosts - truly a special spot.

It was exactly as described, 100% accurate in terms of the pictures and the host (Katie) herself was a genuine, amazing soul! Not many things are perfect, however this was as close to perfect if it’s what you’re looking for! Loved it!

Black Cat Cottage in lovely Wildboarclough

MatthijsRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely cottage on the edge of the Peak District. Everything you could wish for is present in the kitchen. Chris is very friendly, and there is a lot of privacy. The road up to the cottage is quite steep, so you might want to step out of the car to avoid scraping your towing hook on the ground (whoops). Because the cottage is quite old, the doors and ceilings in the bathroom and bedrooms are quite low, so if you are over 180cm you might hit your head once or twice. But the views and cosyness of the cottage is worth the hassle.

Cosy cottage in the heart of the Peak District

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing stay in this lovely property. Stunning views from propery and very peaceful location to come back to after a day exploring/hiking all the close by attractions such as Buxton, Mam Tor, NT Longshaw. Met up with friends at RHS Bridgewater a bit further afield but worth a visit. Kitchen well equipped and spacious and enjoyed cooking with the view towards Rushup Edge. This was particularly spectacular with the recent strawberry moon in full view.
