Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Spotsylvania County

We had a great time at Greg’s and Nicole’s place! I highly recommend it. We especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, as it is somewhat rare to find when staying at a rental.

We stayed here with some friends and all our small kids. The place was really clean and had all we needed - the kitchen was stocked with all the tools and basics you need for cooking, the property had plenty of space for the kids to play, the downstairs kept the kids occupied in the mornings, and there is a really nice dock to fish. Perhaps the best part was the ability to rent a boat directly from the owners for the weekend - we had an absolute blast doing this. Overall, this place was a great find, and a rare occurrence where i'd like to stay there again instead of trying something new (I usually don't prefer repeat rentals). The checkout procedure included doing the dishes, but the place has a dishwasher so it was ok, and checkout was at 11AM which is optimal. The house is clearly getting intermittent updates and upgrades, and feels very well taken care of and updated. Our only issue was with the outdoor video cameras which were monitored as we were staying at the place.

We had the nicest time at Quiet Cove. Wendy has everything set up nicely in the home. Very clean and the coffee station/s’more fixings were a sweet treat! The kitchen is well stocked and very accommodating to cook. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the screened in porch looking at the lake. Rented a boat, so the kids could tube. Got ice cream from Moo Thru (delicious) per Wendy recommendation and had s’mores by the fire. The next day we relaxed around the house enjoying the kayak and floats in the water. Crabs on the deck for dinner. Wendy has it set up so well for guest. Wonderful trip to beautiful Lake Anna.

Oliver made it so easy to check in and out. The house was spotless and had everything we needed and more. We forgot a toothbrush and coffee pods and home had extra of both. There were plenty of towels and toilet paper and paper towels,etc. and the beds were so comfy. We put the two kayaks in the back of our CRV and just drove slowly the two blocks (at most) to the launch. Lovely area to kayak around. We went to King’s Dominion one day and then to Fredericksburg for a movie and pickleball (the Picklr was great) Otherwise stayed at the house and enjoyed the porch and basketball. The fire pit area was great but unfortunately we weren’t able to use it bc of evening showers. Although, those evening showers enabled us to hang out on the porch without bugs bothering us. Oliver was so receptive to any question we had and always responded quickly. It was the perfect place for 5 adults to come together for a mini family vacation and just relax.

Great location in downtown Fredericksburg. Can walk to all restaurants and bars within a few minutes. Convenient to train station. Cute house with original wood floors but modern kitchen and baths.

I had a big family gathering at my lake house, so we rented this to have extra sleeping space. We have no complaints. It was clean, nice neighborhood, and responsive host. We especially loved the separate private quarters (full apartment) adjacent to the main home where two guests stayed. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay at Lake Anna.

Relaxing, peaceful, convenient, and fun—words that easily describe this amazing place. We had so much fun spending time here as a family, enjoying one another’s company and recharging. Thank you for a great stay! We would gladly return again if we could!

Great house in the best part of the Lake. The house has everything you need and want and even what you didn’t know you ever needed or wanted for an amazing time at the lake. No idea how I can rent any other property ever again after staying at Matt’s place. Wish I could give it a 1 star so no one would ever rent this house and it’d always be available for my family and friends 😀. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

This was the nicest Airbnb I've rented in YEARS. It is very well-appointed and maintained, with everything we needed to have a wonderful weekend. It is nestled away in the bottom floor of a beautiful house, but you very much feel like you're all on your own. Separate entrance, plenty of parking space. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and woodsy. The hosts were very responsive and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. It was a little over ten minutes to drive to the convention center, so very convenient! Just be aware that the room with one twin bed is inside of the master bedroom- a repurposed dressing room. So whoever stays in there will have to walk through another bedroom to get to their bed. It wasn't a problem for us, but I thought it would be helpful to mention it for those looking for fully private spaces for all guests. I would 100% stay again the next time I'm in Fredericksburg. My husband and I came in for my nieces wedding and we picked a property that seemed accessible for a wheel chair while still having room to see family who wanted to stop in and visit. This place was more than enough. From suggestions about where to go and what to do to putting us on bird watch for Petey the peacock our stay could not have been better! Trish and Glen are so kind! Also if you are worried about privacy with hosts living in the home above, don’t. We had all the privacy we wanted!

My pup and I had a wonderful stay at David’s apartment, which is the bottom level of a home beautifully converted into a spacious living space. The photos don’t do it justice—it’s much larger than expected. The bedroom is huge with a massive, super comfy bed and a desk for working. The living room is setup with a comfortable seating area, and 2 bunk beds for those traveling with kids. Initially, I didn’t plan to stay long due to there only being a kitchenette, but the air fryer/oven and small stove burner made cooking simple meals super convenient, and I ended up extending my stay! It was a perfect spot for the week to work from. The family was incredibly kind, hospitable, and always helpful. There’s no fence for the backyard but this wasn’t an issue for us. We enjoyed walking around the peaceful, beautiful neighborhood. As noted in previous reviews, you can hear footsteps from above, but this didn’t take away from the quality of the space. I’d absolutely stay again in a heartbeat.

We had the pleasure of staying at this Airbnb over Thanksgiving, and it was a truly delightful experience! While the property is about 8-10 minutes off the main highway, the peaceful and serene surroundings made it worth it—exactly the escape we needed. The house was immaculately clean, with every detail thoughtfully prepared. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed to cook our holiday meal, the bathroom and bedding were spotless, and everything felt so comfortable. The thoughtful welcome basket filled with snacks and the fridge stocked with water were such kind touches, showing how much care the host puts into making her guests feel at home. Communication was exceptional. The host was incredibly responsive and kind, answering any questions quickly. By the end of our stay, the property truly felt like home—warm, inviting, and cozy. She even made the effort to meet us as we were leaving, adding a heartfelt touch to our experience. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Perfect location for someone interested in historical sites. I was notified in the morning that the space would be available earlier than scheduled. Bedroom was large with ample closet space. Kitchen was adequately equipped. It has a drip coffee-maker and coffee, sugar, and non-dairy creamer. Kitchen table only seats two. Shower stall was roomy. Bring your own detergent if you intend to use the laundry machines. I was quite satisfied.

Fantastic host - was very flexible, patient, and accommodating when an unexpected event occurred. A rare trait it seems these days unfortunately, but very thankful for their understanding and willingness to help.

Very cute little apartment with everything you need for one night or several months. Very comfortable and quiet. Matt saved us from a bad hotel reservation in town with a last minute booking. Matt was amazing and one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. Thanks for a great stay.
