Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sparti

An amazing castle like home over a very large olive gorge overlooking the ocean. Absolutely stunning scenery all around us. Home had all the amenities one would hope for and then some. Very large space for our family of 9. Pool and hot tub were a hit plus tons of games including foosball and ping ball. The upper deck was perfect for sunsets. And while we did not use they had this amazing wood fire BBQ and sitting area one could use. The location was great. We were basically on side of mountain in a secluded area but close enough to small villages and beaches. Lots of tavernas within 10 mins…4 tavernas within 1/4 mile (although 2 were closed due to slow season). Getting into Kalamata city center was about 25 mins and well worth it. Ann provided several suggestions on her Airbnb page. While there is taxi service i would highly recommend having your own vehicle Ann has a local host, Joanna, helping out and was super helpful and very responsive. Don’t hesitate to rent this place!

This house was very easy to find with great free parking and easy to get in and out of the building with the keys. The house itself is absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. Very roomy and spacious living room, well stocked kitchen, 2 bath rooms, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms with 4 beds. Could easily sleep many many people. The balcony had a lovely view of the marina and many restaurants to choose from in the area, one even right downstairs. This is a gem, and anyone who stays here is lucky to do so. We didn’t want to leave.

Don’t hesitate to book, such a beautiful spot. The flat is elegant and even better than photos. The terrace looks out over the new town of Mystras and the stunning hill and ruins of old Mystras and around to Sparta. Easy to get there and visit sites by car. Old Mystras is fascinating ..visit early morning for the castle and go back later in the day to avoid the coach tours .. Sparta although modern is also well worth visiting ..especially restaurant En Hapti. To sit under the scented jasmine with great food . The flat is completely self contained, spacious enough for two couples and private, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Spyros is lovely and lives in the basement quietly and has a gorgeous dog called Roody. If in the area this is a truly magical place to stay. Thank you Spyros so much for sharing it.

Great place, awesome view and an amazing host

Maison avec 3 chambres. Terrasse couverte donnant sur une grande piscine très propre. Le jardin est très joli également. La maison est près d’une grande route mais il n’y a pas trop de bruit de voiture, c est très calme. Nous avons eu en cadeaux des figues du jardin et des œufs, très gentille attention. Parfait pour visiter le sud du Péloponnèse.

Fantastic experience at this location, the host were easy to communicate with and the rental was just as advertised, we had a wonderful time. They did little things that really stood out for us who travel the world a lot like having aluminum foil and Saran wrap, having Tupperware we could use and an ice pack in the freezer . We cook a lot when we travel and having a functioning kitchen is very important and they definitely had that. The gift of bananas and apples were quite tasty. there is even a nice chilled bottle of Chardonnay on the table waiting for us, but we don't drink. The dog and cats were very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Perfect distance to the city and then away from all the noise. Don't forget to look for the sunset around evening time because it's quite beautiful. If we ever find ourselves on the west coast of Greece again you can believe that we will definitely rent from these guys again.

Mein Mann und ich ( 66 und 72 Jahre alt), haben uns in Vasias Haus ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist so schön, geschmackvoll und liebevoll gestaltet, dass man sich auf Anhieb wohl fühlt. Vasia hat in der Ausstattung wirklich an alles gedacht. Der Blick vom Balkon ist herrlich. Wenn man gerne direkt nach dem Aufstehen eine Runde schwimmen will, kann man direkt unterhalb des Hauses losschwimmen, das Frühstück schmeckt danach doppelt so gut. Weitere kleine Kieselsstrände sind zu Fuß nicht weit. Mikra Mandinea ist ein guter Standort für die Anfahrt zum Ausgangspunkt für die Durchwanderung der Rindomo- Schlucht.

Anastasios's home was comfortable, with exquisite views, safe parking, a short drive to Gythio town and a range of sights and restaurants, but also walking distance to 2 great tavernas in the local village. His restaurant recommendations and suggestions for things to do were excellent. We would definitely love to visit again.

Chalet parfaitement situé pour ceux et celles qui veulent rayonner entre 80 et 120 km ( environ ) autour, pour joindre 4 des principaux sites et villages archéologique; De Mystras à Olympie ... Ambiance montagne et calme assuré à 638m d'altitude ; ce chalet dispose d'un équipement ménager exceptionnel, à goûter sans modération et avec délice, bref, un père et son fils très satisfait de leur séjour de 10 jours; Merci Sarantos de nous avoir confié cette résidence. We enjoyed so much this beautiful house. For a family of four it was very comfortable for us. Space, comfort, great view, nice beds, warm water and wifi, it was al there. We stayed a week and the location was perfect for day trips all around Mani. Vivi and Dikeos were very kind. A great way to fall in love with Greece!

Beautiful house made out of rock in the heart of Taygetos' mountain. The nature around it is amazing and there are many pathways if you want to explore the mountain. Pantelis was a great host and the whole experience was amazing.

Amazing home in a quiet and convenient location. This is a real home place- all of the special furnishings, art, and photos make this home more special. It is a walk to Gytheion and the beach in Mavrovouni Beach, about 30 minutes each way and obviously the way back is uphill- but a very nice walk (especially after eating a big meal). This area is so nice and peaceful. Avra provides anything you may need at the home- towels, cooking essentials, food, snacks and drinks! What a great place to stay!

Es ist ein schönes Haus mit großem Garten und tollem Pool, eine richtige Oase, ruhig gelegen aber trotzdem ist von dort aus alles (Strände, Ort, Restaurants, Geschäft...) schnell und gut erreichbar. Für uns also die perfekte Kombination. Wir (4-köpfige Familie) haben dort unseren Sommerurlaub verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber auch für ihre Hilfsbereitschaft bei allen unseren Fragen.

This is the second time we've stayed here, and the fourth time in the area. It is an absolutely beautiful location. Perfect weather and everything within 10 minutes drive. The house itself has everything and is flawlessly presented. We'll be back again.

Words can't describe this place and Dia our hostess. Before we got there, Dia went above and beyond to help us with our plans, both on our travel there and during our stay. From the minute we stepped in we felt right at home. Everything you need is there and the surroundings are simply magnificent. From the view from the apartment to the private beach below. It was everything we could ask for. A true paradise we would like to keep to ourselves for future trips.. and of course Dia who made our vacation even more enjoyable and made sure we have everything we need. Thank you Dia!

My best recommendations! A beautiful and charming place - wonderful pool, view and garten.

We had an amazing stay. We had the ground floor apartment of a three storey property where Stathis family resides- even though this was the case, we had our own privacy to the grounds and the pool. The family were extremely lovely and we hardly saw them. The property was spotless and the grounds were extremely beautiful and peaceful with the fruit and herb trees surrounding the property. The kids had a great time in the pool. We loved our stay and we loved Kalamata!

Eleni and her son Nikos were great hosts. Very kind and helpful. The accommodation is very pretty and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay a lot and had a peaceful and lovely holiday. Nearby are some very good restaurants and beautiful beaches. Couldn’t be better.

What a truly incredible place! It feels so peaceful, with stunning views surrounding you, while still just a stone's throw from the beach and delightful taverns. Niko and his team were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home! We had an unforgettable experience and are already dreaming of returning.
