Fabulous place with all the amenities for us and 3 kids. If anything the photos don’t do justice to how enjoyable and convenient the place is with sheep in field opposite, 30 seconds to great pub and five mins walk to the moors. John was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore this part of Devon.

The property has been renovated to an excellent standard with lovely features and details. I have yet to stay in another property that compares. The experience as a whole was perfect! Set on the very edge of the North moors, walking from the front door you can soon be on the moor, enjoying views over Dartmoor, taking in its expanse and unique landscape. It really is a special location and property to match.

À welcoming and friendly place to stay on beautiful Dartmoor. Our grandchildren loved feeding the animals with Susan. The Barn is capacious and well stocked with all you need. The welcome touch of fresh flowers was much appreciated. Chagford village is close by and worth visiting for some great shops and places to eat and drink. We hope to return there in the future.

We booked this accommodation for easy access onto the moors for trail running and hiking. The accommodation had everything you needed to relax after a long day on the moors, lovely soft towels and clean bedding. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of good local restaurants near by, the food in the Oxenham Arms was one of the nicest meals we’ve eaten out in a while, I would recommend booking a table. We’d be happy to return to Howard’s place.
