Town Cottage

BobRating, 5 stars41 months ago
We were supposed to be staying at Town Cottage in Llanidloes but there was a problem with the boiler so Ruth very kindly let us stay at Lower Dolgenau instead. Therefore this review applies to Lower Dolgenau. It was a lovely cottage and although we were not in the town, the countryside was idyllic. We woke up every morning to the sounds of a babbling river, sheep and pheasants. The cottage is full of character and very cosy but plenty of space. The cottage is just off the road between the village of Trefeglwys and the hamlet of Llawr-y-Glyn. The nearest pub is about 2 miles away and it's only 7 miles to drive down the hill to the town which has some nice cafes, a bookshop and an organic food shop. It's a superb area for walking. Don't miss Llyn Clywedog or Hafren Forest and there are plenty more walks on the Llanidloes website.

6 of us stayed for Ironman weekend. Location ideal for spectating the swim & the run. Beautiful house in keeping with the Tudor surroundings. Plenty of room & very comfortable. Extremely well equipped kitchen (not that we actually cooked lol!). Communicating with host Tom was easy and his replies were prompt. Would definitely recommend. Jill & Paul

Hay on Wye townhouse, walled garden, sleeps 8

HuwRating, 5 stars4 days ago
An exceptionally beautiful home — full of charm and tastefully decorated throughout. Immaculately clean and thoughtfully presented. It was perfect for our group of four colleagues visiting Hay-on-Wye for a corporate event (if anything, we had more space than we needed!). Ideally located for exploring both the town and the surrounding area. Pierson was an outstanding host, providing clear, timely information that made arrival, parking and check-out completely effortless. I couldn’t recommend this property or host more highly.

8 Bed Victorian house in Central Barmouth location

GerryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were a group of 11 friends staying in Barmouth for the weekend and Nick’s house was perfect for us. Nick was great with communicating and very friendly. He managed to offer us early check in which was great to allow us to get rid of our bags before exploring Barmouth The house itself was clean and it had everything that we needed. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area and various pubs / restaurants nearby. Would recommend for a large group wanting to explore the local area

Self contained wing of historic townhouse

RobynRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a beautiful old place with heaps of character. It was close to amenities with a pub and a fabulous coffee shop only metres away. Despite this it was not noisy at night. Helen left us milk in the fridge and a basket of goodies which was lovely as we had not experienced this in any of the AirBnB’s we’ve stayed in over the past 3 weeks in the UK.

Great location - sleeps up to nine in Aberystwyth

WenaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is an ideal location for a family visit to Aberystwyth. Close to everything, restaurants and shops so convenient. House was really lovely, clean, homely and well set out, plenty of towels and cleaning supplies. Beds were very comfy. Parking - on street- was a bit of a challenge for me and my husband, but then rest of family got a space nearly outside front door! There are double yellow lines right in front of the house which was really handy when loading and unloading car as we could park easily. Maybe I didn’t read the description properly but I didn’t realise there was someone living in the basement flat, so I felt a little uncomfortable with any noise we made. The balcony was unavailable due to scaffolding, when we visited, but it was still handy to be able to open the back door for some fresh air. All-in-all it is one of the best properties we’ve stayed in.

We stayed for my husbands 40th along with my brother and sister in law and our 4 children. The space was really lovely, spacious, clean, comfortable and well thought out. We had absolutely everything we needed including everything we needed for all the kids. Cot already set up with bedding, baby towel and muslin. Baby gate, high chair set up. Also plenty of plastic kids plates, cutlery and cups etc. Kitchen had everything we needed. All we couldn't find was a dishwasher tablet but no big deal. We all had a great time! Kids absolutely loved it! Lots of happy memories made.

Star Shores - Victorian house, 5 min from harbour

NicholasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fiona was a lovely host giving informative ideas and letting us know exactly about the place and what can be done around the area. She was very amenable as we had two dogs of which one was a puppy. The house is a gorgeous place that is central to Ilfracombe. We found two amazing take aways whilst there and loved sitting in the lounge looking at the sea eating them - as the weather wasn’t great. We’d highly recommend a stay at Fiona’s place.

Luxury home by the harbour

CraigRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Really enjoyable stay. Our family loved the house and the location. The house is beautiful and really made the difference for our holiday. The downstairs kitchen area is a great space and made meal times fun and enjoyable. Cinema room was then a great place to just relax in the evenings. The house just felt luxurious and it's clear that a lot of time and thought was put into it! Plenty to do in the local area as well, which was nice as we didn't have to drive much once we arrived. Thanks Tom

A beautiful home in the heart of St Davids

LizRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ty Meini was beautiful. We felt at home the moment we walked through the door. Such an amazing relaxing place. The breakfast area, dining room, bedrooms and garden were wonderful. Our favourite room was the front living room. Views of the square, lovely window seats and so many interesting books, objects, pictures and seats. Lots of nice places to eat and take food back to the house. Grains and the Cross hotel to note. Also the fish and chips were lovely. Smorgasboard was fun with the board games and cake. Cathedral and Palace are stunning. Skomer Island was fab too. Very dog friendly with the side door and back garden. Parking space at the back. Cheap for additional cars at the tourist information centre. Perfect place to chill and enjoy time with family in Wales. Diolch yn fawr iawn

Palm House Boutique short walk from Jackson’s Bay.

ClaireRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Edward’s house was an ideal location for a trip to Barry Island with our dogs. It was a short walk from the house down to Jackson’s Bay, a beautiful dog friendly beach with a fab Knotty Yachty cafe next to it. The house was very clean and well laid out with a good selection of cooking utensils. The small gravelled yard at the back of the house meant we could have the back door open. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Celina’s place! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Celina was a fantastic host—warm, responsive, and very thoughtful throughout my visit. Her attention to detail really made a difference. The location was great as well, close to everything but still peaceful and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the future. Thank you, Celina!
