Spacious house with simply stunning views of Arran

KerryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. The house was great, very spacious with everything you need. Great surroundings and most beautiful views over the sea. Lovely walks around about. And a really nice restaurant just a 5 minute walk away called the Anchorage, the food was 10/10. Everyone really enjoyed the trip here and we’d definitely love to visit again.

Maberry cottage, a rural riverside escape.

CeliaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Lovely place. Accurate pictures, though when you get there it feels even nicer than photos can show. Very friendly and responsive. Sometimes it can be quite a vulnerable experience travelling as an LGBTQIA+ couple, but here we felt welcome and safe. Hope to visit again with friends and family.
A private hot tub is positioned under a covered deck, offering views of the surrounding countryside. The structure features wood paneling and large windows, allowing natural light to illuminate the area. The water is clear, inviting relaxation while enjoying the peaceful scenery.

Country Escape with Sea Views, Ayr, Ayrshire

LeonieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Clare’s place was simply amazing! It is beautiful and well thought out. It has everything you need to feel right at home. We cooked some meals for our kids and the kitchen was well equipped for everything we made. The animals and wildlife around the house was an added bonus and kept the kids very entertained, along with the little play area to the side of the house. We will definitely be back if we were in this part of the world again :)
A spacious lounge features comfortable seating arranged around a central open fire, enhancing warmth. A bay window provides natural light and views, while double doors lead to another room. Soft beige carpet and light-colored walls contribute to a serene atmosphere.

4 Bed in AYR (90038)

AnitaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We booked this cottage as a meeting place for family coming together for a wedding in Ayr. Half from Buckinghamshire in England and the other half flying in from Austin Texas. Youngest 25 and eldest nearly 90! The accommodation was a perfect fit for us all. Plenty of space to spread out. Gorgeous, peaceful outlook to sit and watch the wildlife or to take a stroll along the path to the front of the property. Local restaurant The Holly Bush is very close, with wonderful views. Food was delicious and the owner super friendly and welcoming. Dumfries House is well worth a visit. With its free gardens to explore and take in nature. Plenty to keep all ages entertained. We also visited the beach at Maidens. Paddled in the sea, strolled along the pathway to take in a drink at the Ropes Bistro. A visit in to Lagg, another stroll along the seafront and a stop for tea and scones at Nardini's which is best known for its Ice Cream. Loch Doon Castle is worth a visit to take in the scenery alone.

House with private hot tub and views of west coast

MelanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

Coylton Cottage with Private Hot Tub

RachaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Not only does the place look fantastic but it is extremely homey and comfortable. The host Lynne was super prepared for our stay and had a high chair set up for our baby along with baby wipes readily available. A lovely welcome pack left in the fridge for us which was greatly appreciated. The property had so much to offer from a large spacious garden with a games garage with a pool table and plenty of garden games, A hot tub and patio furniture (All of which in fabulous condition) to beautiful soft furnishing indoors, with comfortable bedding and fresh towels on each bed. An excellent kitchen with all the things you would need and a local shop at the end of the road that’s easily accessible. Short drive to Ayr beach and all that has to offer also so is perfect to be able to enjoy the sea side but come back to a quiet residential space at the end of the day. 10/10 stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

Wee Bothy at Carnell Estates

KatriRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at the Wee Bothy! Our flight was delayed for a whole day but the communication with Adrienne was very good and she even offered us an extra night which was very gracious. The cottage was very charming and very well equipped and the bed was comfortable with luxurious bedding and feather pillows. It was a nice touch to have bird feeders in front of the living room window so that we were able to watch the birds from the sofa. The estate and the gardens were vast and beautiful and we even bumped into Michael who gave us a little tour of the grounds on his cart. Do watch out for the pheasants when arriving by car as they do wander on the roads.

Stinchar Cottage, Ballantrae

MichaelRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Lovely cottage in walking distance of Ballantrae beach. Cottage was very comfortable and had everything you need for a quiet break in beautiful surroundings. The stone beach is amazing - deserted most days, clear water and a great view of Ailsa Craig. It was a perfect base for our week's holiday - about an hour to drive out to Portpatrick or head north to Troon for the golf.

Luxurious accommodation in stunning location. The open plan cottage with beautiful views and bedroom on mezzanine floor gives a feeling of complete luxury - beautiful furniture-well fitted kitchen and extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of road trip for NC500 to visit family - so not much time to explore but will definitely be back and stay for longer next time. Extremely good value

Absolutely lovely wee cottage. Everything you could want or need for a couple of nights break. Wif was a bit hit and miss, mostly showing no internet connection but to us that appealed as we felt “ away from it all “. Would really recommend and love to visit again in the future. Thanks Neil

McIntyre Cottage on Blairquhan Castle Estate

RichardRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Very peaceful stay in a great location with stunning views right out the window. Great to explore the Ayrshire area, very close to the Burns birthplace museum, and to Ayr and local area. The hosts were very friendly over the phone, clear instructions for check-in and checkout and this place was the definition of getting exactly what you paid for with no surprises. The description on the listing, the photos and the T&C’s didn’t leave out anything. Only points for improvement: - the WiFi can be a bit slow - the kitchen has all cooking tools you might need but isn’t stocked with some essentials (salt, cooking oil, etc). Again, this was clear from reading the listing, but I can see how international travellers might find it inconvenient to have to buy certain items for their stay. Overall, a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend

No 1 Ramageton Cottage at Carnell Estates

FionaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful cottage in a quite private area. very homely and had everything we needed and more, even bread, butter and milk. Had prime etc. so plenty to watch on TV. Highly recommended if taking dogs on holiday as we were able to walk round the estate/paths and fields with no livestock so the dogs loved it, they appeared relaxed in the cottage and even had treats, towels and a bed left. They were able to be let out in an enclosed garden. Host was easily contactable with any questions and went above and beyond. although we did not take a third dog, when asked the day prior arrival if we could add a dog, there was no issues. I also left clothing which the host posted to my home address which was above and beyond given the inconvenience it would take to post this. The area is ideal as close to Troon (best fish and chips) , Kmarnock, Ayr and Dunfries house, so plenty to do, particularly with the dogs. I will defo stay again, in fact I just did not want to leave.

It’s in a very rural location so if you’re looking for relaxation, bird song and nature with some great walks and scenery this is your place.

A lovely cottage with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside, so peaceful and quiet. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break. The fenced garden is so pretty and a real sun trap in the afternoons. We travelled to the Isle of Bute for the day and also had a trip along the coast to Troon, Girvan and Irvine (lovely meal at the Ship, and it’s VERY dog friendly!)
