Tiny house vacation rentals in Sonoma County

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

I had the very BEST stay at Mark's place! Everything about the stay was magical - the cottage was quaint and lovely, surrounded by redwoods. Mark's hospitality was of the very best I have seen...he was so kind, helpful and caring and lovely to talk with during the stay. He cares so much and wants to make sure his guests have the best experience. And wow the baked goods are incredible! This was the best mini retreat I could have imagined..I will definitely be back!

Patty is the absolute best hostess!! Kind, generous, caring and helpful. Wonderful storyteller and as a rancher myself, a very helpful friend to have with her knowledge, skills and experience. Invited us to dinner, the cheese tasting was amazing…best cheese I’ve had. The ranch is gorgeous, the apartment is cozy and cute! Definitely stay here a few days, lots to do and this is a perfect ‘base’ to explore from. Would give her 10 stars!

Loved every moment of our stay here! It was myself, my partner, our dog and 2 kids, the outside bath was magical and the well appointed nature of every aspect of the stay totally exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay here again!

Linda‘s place was perfect for a mini weekend retreat at Harbin. Her place is a short 8 to 10 minute drive to the Harbin Hot Springs gate. My friend and I stayed here for two nights on Labor Day weekend. Both of the beds were very comfortable my friend slept up in the loft, and I slept in the downstairs bed, it was no big deal to walk across the patio to reach the bathroom in the night. The automatic lights she has set up worked perfectly. The outdoor furniture was lovely and a great place to have your morning coffee or wine in the evening. Definitely would stay again.

Loved our stay! It was beautiful and peaceful out on the farm, and we enjoyed a few days hanging out along the coast. Ann was a great host and we enjoyed chatting with her. We'll be back!

In a word - delightful! We very much enjoyed the back deck and patio with morning and afternoon sun, a relaxing yard with views of the river, osprey, swallows and even deer. The kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances/utensils/cookware/dishware etc for easy mealmaking. Playing records from Adam's collection was memorable & reminiscent. The beds were very comfortable - especially nice with french doors looking out to the back yard and riverscape. The location is easy distance from Monte Rio, Jenner and Guerneville, paddleboarding, beaching, hiking nearby plus nice to walk our dog Lexie in the extended neighborhood. Adam was a great host. We highly recommend Adam's delightful cottage retreat, and look forward to future stays!

What a gift and complete joy to stay here! The directions were perfect and we easily entered on the gravel road, even with our very low, little Prius. On arrival, we were delighted to find the beautiful, simple and lovely cob house set in such a lovely setting. The view from bed was just incredible and my husband particularly fell in love with the stump shower with ferns growing where you stand. We were able to cook easily in the kitchen by just bringing a backpacking set of pots/pans, but she had cups, silverware, and yummy teas. But, by far, the best part was Katy who was kind and open. We enjoyed getting to know her and loved walking through the gorgeous garden she has built over the years. We left well-rested, energized and inspired!

We enjoyed our stay for a mom’s weekend trip to Guerneville! The highlight of the house is the extremely peaceful backyard, and the deck has ample seating! The pool was a good depth for wading and we had a 93 degree day so the temperature was great. It’s about a mile walk to downtown, but nice to do after snacking all day poolside. Shauna was so responsive and kind - great host!

We had a great time staying at this listing in Gualala! Off Hwy 1, yet close to shops and a few restaurants in this quaint town. Walking around the trees and being able to walk to the coast was perfect for out 2 day getaway! The cabin was cozy and comfortable, kitchen was stacked with everything we needed to cook during our stay. Would love to visit again sometime!

Barking Rocks Cottage is a lovely home, in peaceful surroundings with a wonderful ocean view. Kelly is an amazing hostess, proactively communicating and sharing very helpful local information with us ahead of the trip. Her thoughtfulness is evident in every corner of the very well-equipped cottage, including the generous welcome treats. Every detail is geared towards making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a lovely time at Richard and Yuka’s guesthouse. They were very kind and welcoming. We could access all the Sea Ranch amenities if we wished to do so (pool, pickleball, tennis, lodge). We took some gorgeous walks a short drive away. The Sea Ranch Chapel is a wonder unto itself. Any restaurants require a bit of a drive and the guesthouse has limited cooking capacity so do plan ahead. Overall a lovely stay with a lovely family.

Great place to unwinf and relax! We really enjoyed the hot tub and sitting by the fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our dinner and breakfast. The grill made our hamburgers so much better after a long day on the river! Very cute place!

Bethann's place combines charm with functionality in a way very few places can achieve. It is also placed in a bucolic setting, serene and peaceful. And close enough to Sebastopol and Graton two of our favorite spots for antiquing and that have high quality restaurants. Perfect for an overnight trip to Sonoma County.

Mama K's place was absolutely stunning, quiet and serene. The pictures don't do it justice, it's so much more beautiful in person. Neighborhood is quiet, and there is a ton of wildlife. We loved seeing deer, bald eagles, quail, fox, and more every morning! The hot tub was a beautiful experience at night, as you can see all the stars. The property itself is so thoughtfully made. All the decor is beautiful, her garden makes the entire place smell amazing and she has a ton of amenities for the river including paddle boards, canoes and kayaks. The first morning we took the canoe out, we saw a bald eagle taking a bath right in the river! This also happens to be one of the cleanest airbnbs we've stayed in, and that's with it being pet friendly. Our labrador Dodge loved the entire property, and swimming every chance he got. Don't forget to visit Sophie's Wine Cellar in town! We will be back!

The host was very accommodating and responsive. The rental was amazing. Love the open concept overlooking the river and trees. The kitchen was huge and had all the cookware and accessories we needed. Loved the modern bathroom and beautiful shower. Overall, we loved the rental, and would love to come back and stay again.

Nice place. Clean and well decorated. Bed is comfy and it has everything there I needed for staying 4 nights. I really enjoyed the location. Nice neighborhood to walk in and I walked only a few minutes to a local yoga studio and restaurants. Host is available if you need anything. I recommend.

Wendy & Alan's place is a lovely retreat. It was a very peaceful way to spend a couple days among the redwoods. There's tons to do in the area, both in nature and in town. Some of our favorites were going down to Goat Rock Beach where the Russian River lets out to the sea and waving at the harbor seals, and browsing at the Piknik Market on Main St in Guerneville (which also serves a mean cup of coffee.) We loved Pat's International on Main St so much that we came back for lunch after going there for breakfast. The kitchen at Wendy & Alan's place was well equipped, and watching movies on the big screen with a projector was a treat. Wendy & Alan were friendly and communicative throughout. If you're looking for a little bit of everything, this is a great place to get it!

The tiny house and neighborhood are perfect. I was in town visiting a friend who lives nearby and was very comfortable moving between Anne and Leland’s place and my friend’s place. Even though they were out of town, they managed to be responsive and very welcoming. I’m an airbnb super host and picked up a few tips on how I can improve my hosting skills. Thank you Anne and Leland for making my stay in Petaluma such a lovely experience. 💕

Only there one night, so didn’t really get the full experience, plenty of air opening the back doors onto the cacti gallery. Accidentally left a small gift I purchased for someone, Jordana’s cleaner found it the morning I left and Jordana contacted me right away so I was able to retrieve it, which was very much appreciated.

Caz cabin is truly magical. This was my second time visiting and it was just as incredible! The cabin was so cozy, and the backyard wad enchanting. I never wanted to leave the porch! Can’t wait for my next visit!

Eric is a very accommodating & thoughtful host! Great communication throughout the whole process. Thoughtful, personal touches including a welcome card & a personalized chalkboard welcome message, home baked chocolate mint cookies and a cozy comfortable bed! He even turned on the front porch light for me so I wouldn't come home alone in the dark and reserved a spot for me in front of his place during a crowded protest downtown, only a block away from his space & waited for me until I got there. He also allowed me to check in early at noon! Truly a very decent human being who really cares about his guests!
