The Studio Somers

Once a beach shack, became an artist’s studio, then rescued as a comfortable home and holiday escape, close to the beach and Somers General Cafe. A wonderful place to sit and relax, walk on the beach or explore local wineries and farm produce. In order to safely manage the conditions brought with COVID (and maintain our low tariff) we introduced a 3 night minimum. We are now able to offer a 2 night stay but this is at a higher rate than a stay for 3 nights or more. Please enquire for the rate.

My place is close to the beach and the local cafe/restaurant. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the high ceilings and the quiet, secluded setting. My place is good for couples and families. The main bedroom has a DOUBLE bed. The loft is set up with two single beds. There is a floor couch that could be used for a 5th. I have a portacot if needed. The cottage has its own private courtyard with a gas BBQ. It is located in a very quiet court, just a 5 min walk to the beach and cafe.

A comfortable and stylish house with helpful and friendly hosts. The house is decorated beautifully, however perhaps not best suited for small children who want to touch all the decor. Property would be perfectly suitable for a family with older children or pets. Good value, thanks for a great stay.

A beautiful house which really makes the most of the ocean views. We really enjoyed the design of this house with great natural light and versatile spaces. Despite having a very cold snap with the weather, the house was quick to warm and remained warm when the heating was off. Great location with easy car access to Philip Island and surrounds, but otherwise very peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

The family had a fabulous time at Elisa’s property. The property itself is beautiful with cozy cabins, lovely gardens and wonderfully styled house. Just across the road from the beautiful Somers beach (great for our little ones) and short trip to the spoils of the mornington peninsula. Excellent communication and would highly recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in Balnarring. The house is stunning - surrounded by beautiful gardens and scenery and the interior design is amazing! We had a few infants and a toddler and the house was well equipped for our needs. We especially loved the animals and the home-grown preserved food!

We had a wonderful time at the Shed on a spontaneous weekend away down the peninsula. The space is warm and inviting, and was spotless when we arrived. The Shed was well equipped for our short stay, we wished we booked it for longer! The property is a short drive to Balnarring for supplies or a baked good, as well as excellent wineries and a short 30ish min drive to the hot springs. We will definitely be back!
