Vacation rentals with lake access in Smith Mountain Lake

My family and I enjoyed this wondrous and most memorable accommodation. The house was pristine with thoughtfully curated. This home is not just beautiful—it’s accommodating in the truest sense of the word. It wraps itself around your needs, offers space where you didn’t know you needed it, and invites you—gently—to feel held, even in the quietest moments. It is prestige without pretense.. A layout not just designed, but composed. I’d recommend a thousand times over to those looking to settle back into the values of capturing moments in time to nestle with family. Traveling in from the Northeast took us through a rugged mountain park,vaulted, wild, and more stunning than any photo could capture. Towering trees and mossy cliffs framed the narrow, winding roads, which clung tightly to steep edges. It’s not for the faint of heart, so if heights make you uneasy, check your route in advance. But the view, the journey, and the destination? Unforgettable!! Absolute fave this far!!!!❤️❤️❤️

This place was great! Had everything we needed from plenty of towels to every kitchen utensil possible so cooking our meals was easy! The house was easy to get into and Ronald was easy to communicate with, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we need.

Perfect for family time! The house is very clean and has an incredible view of the lake.

Robert was very welcoming and responded promptly to any questions that came up. He is very invested in creating an exceptional experience for his renters. The waterfront and back porch were among our favorite places to be. A very tranquil and private home surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The home is in a quieter part of the lake, but it was easy to pick up items from the nearby Mini Mart, and there is a Dollar General within a 9 minute drive. Very little traffic on roads in the area throughout our stay, which was greatly appreciated. The kitchen had all the seasonings and cookware we needed, and the beds and linens were very comfy. Robert provided an excellent referral for boat rentals, and we saw much of the lake via pontoon. This was exactly what we were looking for! Thank you, Robert!

My family really enjoyed our stay.The house was immaculate and well stocked.The fire pit was a great hit as were the Kyacks and paddle board. The house is close to SML state park which we went to a number of times. the ping pong table and game room was also a hit.Megan is a very responsive host!

Smith mountain lake never disappoints. Todd’s place was great, the view awesome!

Very modern interior with a peaceful deck overlooking the lake. Extremely accommodating host (we were traveling with an infant). Place has everything you could need (cookware, utensils, tea/coffee, etc.) - would recommend :)

A great little place to stay at Smith Mountain Lake. My husband and I stayed for Memorial Day weekend and it was the perfect location to the state park. We were very comfortable and the bed was great! We also had a cold rainy day so we took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. Will definitely stay here again!

Traci and manager Sophia were super responsive to requests and texts. The place was very clean and as advertised. The location is walkable to the marina and a quick drive to other restaurants, state park, and grocery. We would definitely book again.

Andrew is great and has a nice spot! Only bummer was the pool was closed for the season, but that's not on him. Have a nice stay!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

We love Peggy’s place. The view is wonderful, and everything well apportioned. This is our second stay and would gladly visit again.

Great location. Cool house. Plenty of shade. Everything’s easily a short 10-15 min boat ride. Beach close by. The cub house is awesome for kids (even has an intercom to communicate with the main house). Only complaint I have is there were no cleaning supplies, spare toilet paper, or what I would consider basic supplies.

We really enjoyed our stay. Robert & Donna were great hosts, very responsive and went out of their way to make us feel right at home. It was the perfect stay for Graduation at Liberty University.

W a gem! We loved everything about our stay. Best equipped kitchen we've ever stayed at (for an AirBNB), furniture and beds were all comfortable, but the best part was the outdoor seating and eating areas. We spent the majority of our time outside. We loved looking at the stars, watching the fireflies, and listening to the croak of the bullfrogs before we turned in at night.

I don’t have enough characters for an adequate review! The hostess was extremely responsive, above and beyond helpful, etc. I have stayed at many Airbnbs and this is by far the best! The house is SO awesome and just as pictured. So many little extras to make your stay the best(tooth brushes! 2 of our group forgot theirs(eeww) so this was amazing! High end Shower products, sound machine in the bedrooms, crock pots, gift basket with snacks, seasonal decor, kayak, etc. The personal touches in the house are beyond what I’ve ever experienced and made our stay so special. The setting is So beautiful and peaceful!! I can’t wait to come back!!! If you have any doubts, remove those and move forward!!

Had such a great stay at this house. Beautiful scenery, lots of porch and outdoor space, relatively private from neighboring homes. Bedrooms and amenities were as described. Kitchen was pretty well stocked w/ cooking implements and whatnot. Elizabeth is a super responsive, friendly host that made us all feel at home. Would def go back!

We were blown away… we grew up on the lake .. and this truly made us plan on getting back asap!! Def recommend this place !!

The lake house was absolutely perfect. The house itself had everything we needed and plenty of room for our stay. The dock was great and lounging in the lake on floats was so relaxing. There is also a really cool lakeside restaurant and bar about two minutes down the road that was an added bonus. Definitely want to visit again!

Ben was a perfect host. Very communicative and will do whatever it takes to make the stay as good as possible. Beautiful property and very cool layout with multiple dwellings on the property. So many beds! Great lakefront just an easy walk down from the main house. The deck with fire pit and outdoor TV along with the wiffle ball field make for a great place to hangout and spend the day with your group! Would definitely book again!
