Hall Yards Cottage

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Hall Yard Cottage, the location was in a lovely village, friendly neighbours and great walks on the doorstep. The hosts left some welcome goodies which were much appreciated. The only feedback we have is that it wasn’t mentioned where we could park in the information pack until one of the neighbours told us. The cottage was very clean, dog friendly and we will definitely return.
A red canoe rests at the icy riverbank, partially covered by snow. The calm water reflects the surrounding winter scenery and a stone bridge is visible in the distance, framed by frosty trees. Tranquility and winter beauty are evident in this serene landscape.

Garden Cottage in tranquil North Pennine valley

MairRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We loved our stay at the cottage. Peter and his family were kind hosts, allowing free access to the beautiful grounds at their property. Our puppy loved being able to chase the resident dog (Betty) around the secure garden, a first for her! The cottage is immaculate and even nicer than the photos. The location was perfect for quiet long walks, remaining unspoiled from tourism. It really was lovely and we’d love to come back.

Charming 2 bedroom cottage in Tindale Fell

A great stay for a quick weekend stay for an ultramarathon. Easy and flexible check in. Janet was amenable with a slightly late check out after spending all day running an ultramarathon and only getting to bed at 2am. Peaceful place ☺️ would definitely stay again if we were up in that area again!

The perfect place to get away from it all

JulieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Dyke Cottage is a lovely place to stay with friends and family. We were a group of 8 adults and 2 dogs and the cottage had absolutely everything we needed.. big kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery, appliances etc. The beds were comfy, it was spotlessly clean and had a fabulous garden which we enjoyed in the surprising April sunshine. Great walks from the cottage, a fun ride on the steam train which runs at weekends & bank holidays along the track which runs along the bottom of the field below the cottage by a beside a beautiful river. We enjoyed several trips in the local area including Ashgill Force, the seven sisters falls, the Turks Head pub in lovely Alston and the Nook farm shop cafe for supplies as well as trips further afield to Hadrians Wall & Haltwhistle. Thanks Suzanne for the fabulous welcome treats.. your cottage is a credit to you!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Spotlessly clean and felt like a five-star hotel, but with all the comfort of home. An absolute gem! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, luxurious stay that truly feels like a home away from home.

Unique Little Railway Hut

RobRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Just had our 2nd stay at the Little Railway Hut and it was as magical as the first visit. The hut is super cute, comfortable and cosy and really does have everything you could possibly need, with all of this set up in a such a peaceful and private location. We just love spending time here watching the world go by without a care in the world, and Lynn is awesome at getting you down to the hut with your stuff so you can get settled in quickly. Nice walks close by, good amenities and friendly pubs. It really is a special place to spend some time. Thanks so much again, Lynn, and we will definitely see you again in the future :) X

We went on a walking holiday in the North Pennines and this was an excellent place for Hadrian's wall etc. The price for this large cottage on a farm was excellent and we got all the help we needed when asked, regarding walks and directions. Looking forward to staying again in the future.
