Really helpful host and lovely location!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Charming and full of character, with fabulous pool and hot tub. Loved our stay with family. Granddaughter filled with excitement throughout our stay.

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Just returned for a few days away with friends. The place is stunning with a lot of space! Everything was as described if not better. Nicola is a great host, replies quickly and was very helpful. We all had a great time and would 100% recommend to others. Thank you.

Lovely place in a beautiful location. Feels very private and had everything we needed for our stay. We ordered Mac & cheese cooked by the host which was super tasty. Emily was a great host and responded quickly to any messages we sent. We also had a few visits from their very friendly cat bubbles

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an excellent stay at this lovely property. It was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and had so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. This included the pint of milk and washing-up liquid provided on arrival and the great selection of games for the kids, everything was well thought out. The kitchen was well-equipped with really nice cutlery, and we appreciated the little extras throughout the house. The location was fantastic too—surrounded by beautiful spots to explore and very close to local attractions. Overall, a perfect place for a relaxing getaway with family. We’d definitely recommend it to others and would love to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Morven's. The cottage itself was beautiful and contained everything that we needed. The sauna was a unique addition! Everything had been considered and the small touches, such as the fresh herbs and the treats for the dogs really made us feel at home. Our hosts were quick to respond to a phone call and incredibly attentive to our needs. The village of Staveley is a hidden gem and we made good use of the Eagle & Child pub and the outrageously good bakery, More. I would highly recommend this stay and hope that we can return ourselves!

This was a lovely stay in the Northern Lake District. The cottage was cosy and felt so perfectly tucked into the beautiful surroundings. We had an easy time getting to all of our activities and sweet nights in cooking dinner and enjoying the fire pit.

We absolutely 💯 loved our short stay at Nursery end cottage. It was perfect. Warm, comfortable & cosy. It had everything you could think of. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack & thankyou card. The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by sheep and hills. We chose to stay here as it wasn't far from Scafell pike. I would recommend to anyone to stay in this cottage and would definitely book it again. It's just beautiful. We only wish we could of stayed longer.

Location is great - a couple of minutes walk from the local pub (which is well worth a visit) and there are numerous great walks from the doorstep. The cottage was clean, tidy and had everything you could possibly need for a stay in the lakes. It’s a real home from home with Netflix on the TV and various board games to keep you entertained. Jo was super friendly, responsive and all in all a great host. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Stunning location and cottage. Sunshine for our three day stay, the walk's and views are stunning. We would definitely recommend a stay at Duddon View cottage, perfectly situated for soul calming walks in the surrounding fells, better than any medicine. Prime spot for a hiking trip weekend in the area. Location is accessible and quiet and the house is kept in great conditions. Everything was clean and comfortable. Had a wonderful time. Kylie is lovely ❤️

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at your beautiful cottage. It’s got a lovely cottage feel with all the modern amenities. All the added touches added to its lovely charm. We wish we could have stayed longer as such a perfect location to explore the Lake District

Anya’s house was very comfortable and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The instructions provided were easy to follow. Each room had heating which was needed as one night was quite cold. It was great to have a washing machine. The location was within driving to restaurants and pubs and there was plenty of pamphlets of things to do and see in the area. The tiny snug was very cute and cosy. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. We stayed for a week in Fox Corner for our mini moon and it was perfect for our needs - location couldn’t get better for visiting all of the local spots and there are so many beautiful walks right from the front door. Our pooch was also very comfortable and we appreciated the doggie bed and towel! Dave was so responsive and helpful when we had a minor issue during our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub after coming back from a busy day exploring. Fox Corner had all the bits we needed to have a cosy and comfortable stay. We would definitely return!

Beautiful cottage in a great location We had a lovely 3 night stay and enjoyed visiting Ambleside & Bowness There’s some amazing views The hot tub was amazing the seating area outside could do with a clean Just a few little downsides to our stay The cottage is dog friendly we visited with my sister and Moms dogs and the gardens where not secure they had open fencing. Inside the cottage there where a lot of cobwebs around most windows and up corners of ceilings. We didn’t cook at the cottage as we ate out but the microwave and oven were not the cleanest. The bathrooms could do with some hand soap as most places I’ve visited before provide this. On day of departure it is requested that you strip the beds the duvet on our bed had a very large stain on maybe it would be an idea to use duvet protectors It’s not the cleanest of places it needs some TLC, however we did not spend much time at the cottage so didn’t disrupt our visit to the lakes.

Amazing place to stay! Caroline has brilliant communication and eased all of our doubts prior to our trip; great location, amazing views, lots to do. Caroline’s place is so clean, super comfy beds, modern bathroom and kitchen, amazing amenities, just the perfect place. Would highly recommend!

We booked here along with Sticklebarn for my partners daughters' wedding - the cottage was perfect for the bride & bridesmaids to all get ready together on the day, the photos will look amazing! We stayed for a full week & it was great to be able to do so many walks from the door. The only negative was the lack of large cooking pots & pans and basic condiments - salt & pepper, oil, etc - nothing to do a large stir fry or group curry in bigger than for 2, not ideal when we were 6 adults. The kitchen space is fantastic but with lots of empty cupboards. All white goods are to a very high standard. Good showers, plenty of hot water, nice big white towels. A large house for 6 with a lovely garden too.

Great lovely little cottage that was very homely and a great place to relax after exploring the lakes! The village of elterwater is lovely and peaceful and so much to do you could nearly get away without going off on the car anywhere as there is a regular bus service that runs every hour! We all said we would defiantly stay again if we was to come to the Lake District as this place had every thing you needed! We would def recommend 👍👍 Thanks for a lovely stay
