Gits Torp is a fantastic place if you want to meet spring on beautiful Öland. Almond blossom, buttercups and sweet clover. Migratory birds and sunbathing seals at Ottenby, the island's southern headland. There are very good guided tours every day, completely free of charge. There is a lot more to see and discover if you have a car. For example, Bårby Castle, where archaeology teachers and students from Stockholm University enthusiastically talked about the excavations in the old Iron Age castle. In Hulterstad, there is a memorial to those who died when the ship Kronan was blown up outside Öland in 1676. At Segerstads church - within walking distance of the cottage - Ölandsmålaren Per Ekström has his tombstone. The well-cleaned and clean cottage is equipped with everything you need and the sleeping areas (double bed and sofa) are very comfortable. Highly recommended.
