We felt well taken care of at Bǰarni and Héiða. Upon our arrival, we first tasted the delicious fish soup in our own café. Afterwards, Bǰarni gave us a glimpse into "The Secret Room" and told us local stories. The cottage was lovingly furnished and we used the sauna and hot tub every evening ❤️

Beautiful, well appointed, secluded Airbnb… could definitely be part of a resort or retreat… about a 5-10 min drive off a main road so all you’ll hear is the creek and the birds.

Gudrun’s place is exactly like what you would think it is based on the pictures - beautiful. From the hot tub, to the grounds (huge amount of open outdoor space - we went on a hike on the grounds) to the wonderful windows - this is a place you want to be at. We went during the summer when the sun never fully sets - and it really is pretty amazing. She cares about her guests, the space is well-kept and it is only a few minutes away from a city with some amenities (like groceries) in Dalvik. This is a great place, reserve it while you can!

Our group of four all agreed that we were very lucky to get to spend a few days at this house. The layout was cozy with plenty of room. The open kitchen/dining/living space meant that the cook/cleaner was not excluded from the conversation with the rest of the group. The kitchen was well equipped. The windows allowed for views all around and the views here are stunning, with mountains on each side and a wide flat flood plain laid out below. The beds were comfortable and the blackout curtains were welcome. The bathroom was well equipped and the shower was roomy. The sunroom with a tree and a grape vine growing inside was a lovely spot! We stayed here as a base to explore the Trollaskagi peninsula, and got an excellent recommendation from our host for a day long hike on a remote island. This place was well situated and pleasant to spend time in.

This place was absolutely stunning. The views were amazing, the surroundings were so peaceful, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. We cooked meals at the hut each evening and enjoyed the hot pool outside each day. I can’t recommend this place enough. Mikael is kind, thoughtful and has a lot of pride in his place. Far exceeded our expectations!

Our stay in Öxnadalur was one of the most impressive we’ve ever had. The house was charming and we felt immediately at home. The surrounding nature and view on the mountains is breathtaking! We spent hours sipping coffee at the fire place, while the wind and snow were howling outside or watching beautiful northern lights right in front of the door. Sif and Oli were always very helpful when we were asking for any help or recommendations. It is definitely worth a visit and a real adventure in winter times.

We enjoyed our stay at your house, particularly the heated floors (ahhhhh, so nice!) and our horse ride. Thank you!

Good location, easy to park in front of the accommodation, there are hotplates and a microwave in the kitchen, there is no oven, requires some equipment in the kitchen, apart from that it was perfect!

This was a TOP stay! very large, beautiful and clean. Bed was large and very comfortable and even the sofa was very good! Dolly was absolutely the cherry on the cake, she came to hang out with us for several hours for attention and rubs 😁 Einar was very friendly upon our arrival. Enormously loved our stay here!

Amazing views! We loved it, it was quite surreal. We stayed there for 2 days and it was so homely, cozy and the front view of the snow caped mountains is nothing like I have ever seen. This place has my heart ❤️
