Wiehl center is about 3 km away with various shops, bakeries and restaurants. Heating is provided by radiators connected to our heat pump, which is powered by green electricity. Small art stall with wood stove Burg Freienfels

The small art remise along the Weiltal and Weilstrasse in the Taunus is a small 55 square metre cottage on a former mill estate. Heated exclusively with wood, the shed invites you to linger in a cosy atmosphere or to explore the Weiltal or Lahntal by bike. On the property right next to the stream you can meet dogs, cats, chickens and even the occasional egg. Most recently, the remise was used as a studio, and now art objects by regional artists continue to enliven the space.

As guest of the Vicounts of Plettenberg, who have been living here since 1433, you can relax for some quiet days alone, spend a romantic weekend for two at the fireplace or take a family outing. In the stable – side by side with chickens and horses

'IN THE STABLE' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the mill property. It used to be a stable.(Also check out my other apartment 'Barn Loft.') The room has low ceilings and small lattice windows. The room is suitable for people looking for a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat with the oven. See below.

Nestled in nature and equipped with a breathtaking lake view, this penthouse allows you to escape everyday life. Hike in the forest or by the lake and enjoy a bike ride with our e-bikes. When it's cool, warm up in the sauna or heated pool before settling in with a glass of red wine by the fireplace. In the warm season, enjoy a swim in the pool or in the crystal clear lake. Sun loungers, a SuP and a kayak are available there.
