The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

This place was incredible. We came in town to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Tech. It was everything that was pictured and more. Anyone coming to this part of Louisiana definitely needs to look into staying here. It was close to Ruston but still far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the rolling hills. Drinking coffee overlooking the lake was a perfect way to start the day. The place had everything you needed and then some. Thanks for a wonderful place to spend with family.

We had a great stay at Braley’s house. It was a perfect location, close to where our family was having a Christmas gathering. Everything was exactly as described online. Braley was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend her house if you need a place to stay in the Minden area.

This was a remarkable find, it was more than I thought it would be. Host were very accommodating, responded quickly to all questions, and very compassionate for what our family was experiencing. The location was perfect for our all our needs. They even took the time to find something that was left behind and mail it to us. The place was modern, clean and had very comfortable beds and couch. I especially liked that the home was fully supplied with bathroom needs and laundry soap. Plus the kitchen was stocked with nice pots and pan, and all other items needed for cooking and cleaning.

Doesn’t get better than this. Just 20 minutes outside of Shreveport/Bossier and you are right on Lake Bistineau. The waters edge it right outside your window. Absolutely beautiful.

On Caddo - The Retreat - Away From It ALL

Great location. Quiet area with Great views. The dock and kayaks were great, kept our 9 year old occupied the entire time. With the water level being a little high we were able to bring our bass boat to the dock for even easier access to the lake. The host was friendly and very responsive.
