An old Japanese Traditional KOMINKA house with a history of about 150 years. It's located along the River. When you open the window, you can feel the pleasant breeze coming up from the river. Opposite the house is a Shrine and two large zelkova trees that are designated as national natural monuments. It's like the world of Ghibli. ここは今も人々の生活が根付いた、落ち着いた城下町。風情を感じて、昔の広々とした静かな古民家のお部屋で、忙しい日常を忘れましょう。 2023年5月公開の映画『銀河鉄道の父』のロケ地です。萬勝商店もその映画に出ています。「役所広司さん」の古本屋のシーンはこの宿で撮りました。 岩村城址へは歩いても車でも行けます。ぜひ足を運んで、ここでどんな戦いがあったのか思いを馳せてみてください。 他の観光地のようにたくさんの観光客がいないので、城下町の生活を独り占めできます。岩村ファンが継続して来てくださいます。 午後４時を過ぎるとしーんとした静けさに驚くことでしょう。夜の本通りを歩くと、ぼんぼりのような行灯が並び、とても幻想的です。 「夏至」の日に、夕日が通りの先にまっすぐ落ちていき、とても美しい風景を見ることができます。（天候にもよりますが、毎年６月の半ばの前後１週間程、18時半くらい） この建物内では、レトロ着物レンタルと着付けも運営しております。着物を着たい方はぜひご予約くださいね。宿泊のお客様は、割引料金になります。 建物の奥に、裏庭や蔵もあり、忍者気分にもなれるかも(^-^)

Many come to Nakatsugawa for the Nakasendo hike, but there’s beauty in quiet, everyday moments too.

A 130-year-old Japanese farmhouse, restored by the host, is now a private retreat. Traditional beams, tatami rooms, an irori hearth and wood stove offer an authentic yet comfortable stay. From the windows, the Central Alps and peaceful countryside unfold, and at night the sky glitters with stars. Try the fire-heated goemon bath, cook in the kitchen or over the hearth, and pick seasonal vegetables from the garden. A place to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.
